"John E. and Marco S. did a great job on removing our bath tub and changing it into a walk in shower. I was kept informed when difficulties came up on the install. The workers for Jacuzzi were professional and cleaned up after the project."

"Jacob thoroughly looked over everything; water lines, gas line, igniter, gas valve, connections, etc.. He took the time to make sure everything was working properly and even educated me on a few things I didn't know."

"Michael went straight for the problem (not) this is your problem and charge alot for something that should not be fixed. He knew what he was doing and honest,I don't meet people like him very often. My mom has had others come out & fix 1 problem and I knew what the real problem was so I tested him to see if he would come up with the same conclusion as me and he did the stack. He shocked me most would of tried to fix each drain & charged allot then said something about the stack. I am glad I met him & would recommend him. Thank you Ryan"

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Yes. Gutting a house to the studs may actually be a good option if you believe a home contains toxic materials like asbestos, mold, or lead paint. However, this must be done under the supervision of licensed remediation experts.

Asbestos-containing materials are not easily affected by water and do not disintegrate or dissolve when exposed to it. However, porous materials can deteriorate due to water exposure, leading to the release of asbestos fibers into the air. The settling of asbestos fibers can also occur as water makes them heavy, which reduces the risk of airborne exposure, though future disturbance of the materials could cause risk. Wetting asbestos-containing materials does not constitute safe removal, and the proper handling and disposal of asbestos materials should be left to professionals.

No, but it’s common that they do. Gravity furnaces weren’t terribly efficient so wrapping either the ductwork in asbestos, the furnace itself, or both, was something done regularly. This allowed the system to retain more heat. At the time, this greatly enhanced the efficiency of the furnaces but it wasn’t until later that we became aware of just how carcinogenic and dangerous asbestos could be.

It is strongly advised not to touch or disturb asbestos-containing materials unless necessary. Asbestos fibers can be released into the air when the material is damaged or disturbed, posing serious health risks if inhaled. It is best to leave any handling of asbestos to trained professionals who can remove the asbestos safely.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), you should contact the following officials to report a case of asbestos exposure:

  • Asbestos subject matter experts in your state

  • EPA regional office

  • Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Assistance Information Service Hotline via mail, email, or phone

  • EPA’s Asbestos Ombudsman via phone or fax
