"We had a wonderful experience with Coldstream Exteriors. Last year our roof was looking pretty rough. We called Coldstream Exteriors. They came out and looked at it the next day and determined we needed a new one. Ricky Waller worked with our insurance company and got us the best deal possible. He also supervised the roofing crew, who were also amazing. They were very respectful and thorough. The crew Cleaned up after themselves and Ricky came back the next day to check our roof, for stray nails on the ground and to make sure we had a good experience. So when we decided to replace our gutters in September there was no question that we would call Coldstream Exteriors and ask for Ricky Waller. He had his crew out in just a few days. Start to finish was only 3 hours. They installed gutters and gutter guards. Besides being knowledgable they are the nicest people to interact with. They were very respectful of our home and flower beds and no mess after. Again Ricky waller came out after to check installation and for way word nails or screws. I would highly recommend Coldstream Exterior and especially Ricky Waller"

"Jill was friendly and professional. Her responses to email/texts were both informative and timely, even after the roof was installed. From the initial beginning through installation and final payment H&F Exteriors (and especially Jill) conducted themselves properly. Highly recommended."

"We looked at four companies to install a new furnace and Total Comfort offered the best product at a very competitive price. The crew that installed the furnace was excellent and the County inspector who inspected the completed installation gave the installation crew high marks for the quality of their work. I will highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new furnace."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.

The average cost to install an egress window is approximately $3,900, with a typical range between $2,500 and $5,300, though costs can be higher. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the window's size, type, material, and glass quality. Other variables include labor costs, location, excavation needs, and whether permits or a structural engineer consultation are required. The price of the window itself often depends on the number of panes:

  • Single-pane: $100–$400

  • Double-pane: $200–$500

  • Triple-pane: $300–$800

Additional features like window wells or covers will also increase the total project cost. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes from professionals to get a comprehensive understanding of the expenses for your specific project.

Installing a window well costs anywhere from $500 to $1,500 or more. Adding an egress window and well runs about $3,900 on average. Adding a window well cover to the project can add $200 to $700. A well cover helps protect your egress windows from weather damage and keeps them clear of dirt, debris, and wildlife.

There are a range of egress window types available, including:

  • Single-hung: $100–$400

  • Double-hung: $250–$500

  • Horizontal/sliding: $150–$800

  • Casement: $200–$500

  • In-swing: $350–$700

When choosing a type of egress window, consider how you’d like to open it. For example, double-hung egress windows open from top to bottom and let plenty of fresh air in, whereas sliding windows slide open for easy access.

DIY is possible for experienced individuals. Professional installation ensures compliance with building codes and proper sealing.
