"This was a removal of a bath tub and separate shower. The tub was replaced with a walk in shower and all plumbing was replaced. They took the drywall out to the studs to reinforce the wall for seat and grab bars for my aging mother. Clear sliding doors were added. It was a beautiful job. They are not the most reasonable but are good quality in any customization and professionalism. I want to mention the following installers as they were very accommodating and cared about their work. James Smithey, Brian Burleson, Donavon Lomax, Josh Garrard. Thank you all very much! Beverly Atkins"

"Mad City did a fantastic job. They removed my old bathtub and tile and installed a beautiful bath surround. I chose Arctic Ice for the pattern. It is beautiful. Love the practicality of the easy-to-clean surface. The faucet and grab bars are attractive, too. I got the metal shelves, which I like a lot. Highly recommend!"

"Josh has a great attitude, good sense of humor and is easy to work with. He arrived and looked at my front porch railing that was falling forward and advised of a couple different ways to fix it. I appreciated his bluntness as time is precious. He quoted me a price to temporarily fix the railing and also install a lock to an upstairs room. He was able to temporarily fix it with a future date to permanently fix it because we have to get the materials wood concrete screws to permanently fix it. He was also able to install the lock to the upstairs room. Overall it was a good experience and I have hired him for future projects."

"The sales person that came to our house was a very typical sales person and definitely not a designer. That worked in our favor, because we had already made choices on what we wanted. The project manager (Michael Gross) and the master installer (Jim Kesterson) were great to work with. Area's around our kitchen were protected, the work area was cleaned everyday. Jim was on time everyday, and kept us informed on his comings and goings. The project took two weeks and Michael came to inspect the work being done at least 5 times. The attention to detail, demonstrated by both Michael and Jim, gave us confidence that the final outcome would be (and is) what we were expecting and paid for."

Grab Bar Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, burglar bars are highly effective at securing windows and deterring burglars. Intruders typically seek easy targets they can enter and exit quickly, so the presence of bars often convinces them to move on. If an attempt is made, the bars make the break-in more difficult, time-consuming, and likely to attract attention. Window security bars can withstand considerable force and are a relatively affordable, low-tech security solution that is easy for most homeowners to install. In addition to security, window bars also offer the benefit of protecting children and pets from accidental falls.

It is worth it to install window bars for a few reasons. Security bars can slightly increase the value of your home in the eyes of security-conscious homebuyers, especially if you're living in an area with a higher crime rate. You may also qualify for lower homeowners insurance premiums by installing security measures like window bars.

Digital door locks are just one part of a whole-house security system. You can also install indoor and outdoor security cameras, door and window sensors, motion detectors, smart lighting, and smoke, fire, and CO detectors.

Remember, every home layout is different, and landscaping and custom designs can impact which security system parts offer the best protection from crime. Speak with a professional to help you decide which combination works best for your home’s security.

To make your gate safe, purchase a gate made from strong material such as wrought iron, stainless steel, or other metals. Ensure that the gate has strong joints and bars that are welded on rather than inserted loosely. If you’re concerned about people climbing over your gate, you can deter them by installing fence spikes along the top as an extra precaution.

There are ample home security options available today outside of just window bars. Depending on your location, home’s layout, and needs, one or more types of home security systems may be necessary. You could consider doorbell cameras, motion-sensor flood lights, or window and door sensors. And in some cases, you may qualify for homeowners insurance discounts when you install one or more.
