"I had invited three top rated companies in Overland Park, KS to give me an estimate to apply epoxy coating in our two car attached garage. Steven Novak (of GarageExperts) came on time and was very diligent looking at our garage. He even asked me to move my car (other companies did not) so that he could properly access the garage floor. He clearly identified areas that needed repair and game me an estimate. He was not the cheapest but he was competitive. His son Tripp Novak did the actual work. He is a very hard working conscientious young man. He did an excellent job. He did not cut any corners and took extra time to ensure that the epoxy had set properly. I am very pleased with the service provided by Steven & Tripp and would recommend them."

"Punctual, professional, and reasonably priced. Cleaned up after themselves and followed up to make sure I was 100% happy. Gage and Jake were both very personable. Would definitely recommend."

"I hired Griffin Concrete to do some concrete repair work. Tony, the owner, came out personally to do the bid and most of the work. The work was done exactly as requested and was completed promptly. I was completely satisfied and would hire him again."

"I was very impressed with the service and the quality of work that Rene and his crew did in replacing my patio slab and retaining wall. Before choosing to go with A&D, I got bids from 6 other companies. Rene was by far the most attentive to my vision for the project and willing to go the extra mile to make it perfect and did it for a fair price. Throughout the project, he was great at communicating when they would be here, what the work would involve, and they were always consistent. That's not always a common thing these days with contractors. Rene truly wants his clients to be happy with their project and it shows. I've already gotten several compliments from family and friends on how nice it looks. I will be recommending Rene and his team to everyone I know."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Since epoxy products are hazardous to handle, it’s best to leave this job to a professional epoxy flooring contractor. These flooring professionals will have the appropriate protective gear to stay safe during the application process and will use the correct tools needed for the job. In addition, if not correctly applied, the epoxy won’t harden correctly, causing performance issues. Hire a professional epoxy flooring contractor to guarantee a smooth, even finish for your flooring.

In most cases, yes, sealing concrete will stop spalling. However, it’s not a perfect solution—it may only delay spalling. Call your local concrete repair contractor for quotes on the best sealing options to prevent spalling.

You should sand concrete before painting, as it helps remove any irregularities and pieces that stick out from the surface. This not only helps the paint look better but it prevents any unwanted water absorption.

It takes time for damage to accumulate on garage floors. After years without maintenance, they will show cracks, stains, and moisture damage while collecting layers of dust along the surface.

Spills like water, oil, or grease can wear down the epoxy's strength, lowering its lifespan. While this damage doesn’t happen immediately, it can accumulate over time, so cleaning up any garage spills as soon as they happen is essential. Avoid cleaning with or using dish soap on your epoxy floors since they will leave an unattractive residue. Instead, you can use half of a cup of ammonia diluted with a gallon of water for cleaning purposes.
