"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Cady staff responded quickly to my inquiry and the bid appointment and work were easy to schedule. Bob was reliable, thorough, a good problem-solver, easy-going (comfortable to have in my house) and a good craftsman. I would absolutely call Cady for other handyman work and would ask for Bob for carpentry. I gave a "B" for price because my guess is that the hourly rate even with the Angie's List discount (Bob prompted me for this by asking how I'd heard of them - appreciated) is perhaps a bit high. I wasn't able to arrange for a bid from the others I called, however, so I'm not certain of this."

"Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."

"This project took several months, but that's not unusual for a complete kitchen re-build.
Although there were a few delays, none were due to Sam Sharpe, who was always ready to start the next phase of the project faster than I would have the necessary materials ordered - particularly the custom cabinetry and the countertops.

Some of the best aspects are the one's that go unnoticed later, such as the thoughtful way that Sam set up the old cabinetry in our basement so that we could have a temporary kitchen while the construction was going on.

Detailing the entire process would be too tedious for this review, but I will say that Sam respected my desire to move forward in distinct phases, and produced detailed bids for each step of the way.

We are very happy with the results.  Our entire first floor has been transformed by the new kitchen and dining room.  

I highly recommend that you consider Sharpe Construction if you care about your remodel and want it to be perfect."

"All of the work crews (the demolition crew, the tile crew, the paint crew, the electrician, the carpet crew, etc. ) were wonderful. They were true craftsmen and obviously proud of their work plus they were courteous, careful, and reliable. They arrived when they said they would arrive, they worked hard, and they always asked for our input when indicated. Our finished bathroom is WONDERFUL and we couldn't be more pleased!
