"I wasn't 'wowed' by the garage sweep-up after they took the junk -- their ad seemed to incline that they'd transform your space to be so clean. They did sweep, but they didn't clean the garage floor. I was mostly interested in ridding myself of larger junk items for that part of their service I was satisfied for the price I paid."

"I usually don?t do reviews, but this one is definitely deserved. Jeff was absolutely amazing to work and his pricing was more than fair compared to the competitors that have hidden fees. He went above and beyond helping me with the removal of old household items that I needed to have done last minute as I was in a time crunch. Jeff showed up ready to work with a helper. They were nose to the grindstone and not only helped me get the garage cleaned out, but took the initiative to help me carry things up from the basement to finish the project completely. It was such a relief to have that done. I will be using himmoving forward for any type of waste removal. I?m all about supporting a small business and when you find somebody like Jeff where you more than get your moneys worth it was important for me to take the time to write this review."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Make sure you're calling in the right expert to help repair and/or clean your crawl space. A serious issue may require multiple experts that include a local mold remediation pro, an HVAC pro, a foundation pro, and a plumber. You should also consider using a nearby junk removal service to avoid handling debris that could be covered in mold, fungi, rot, or asbestos.

Digging out a basement takes anywhere from a few days to a few months. Most projects take at least two to five weeks, but it could take several months if you encounter obstacles. This project takes longer if you need to brace or raise your home before the excavation. Digging out a basement in new construction can take as little as three days.

In some areas, tipping garbage and recycling workers around the holidays is a kind and common practice. Tipping between $20 and $50 once a year is a kind gesture for a team you've gotten to know or who does an exemplary job. While tipping junk haulers and waste management pros is not expected, it is a great way to show your appreciation.

The cost for junk removal is $240 on average, but prices can range from $60 to $600. Your total price largely depends on the items you’re having removed. Certain appliances, like window air conditioners, range from $75 to $90 to remove. However, more oversized items, like hot tubs, fall on the expensive side of the range, costing between $200 and $600 for removal. You should also consider the amount and weight of your junk, with most junk removal companies requiring a minimum of 2 cubic yards.

Cardboard is one of the easiest leftover packing materials to upcycle, as you can cut it and glue it to create crafts, drawer organizers, weed blockers for your garden, templates for woodworking, and more—your creativity is your only limitation. Plastic is best for crafts, but depending on the shape, you can use plastic components as indoor planters, organizational baskets, and more. Rubber bands are great for creating grips for jar or bottle lids, preventing clothes from falling off of hangers, or creating a grip for screws in damaged wood.
