"Good! - plumber arrived early, spent a couple hours diagnosing problem, was not quick to start tearing walls apart, and came up with a very simple, inexpensive repair. Will hire again!"

"I was contacted immediately and he fit me in for the next day even though there was a snow storm. He called just before he was leaving his last job so I had an idea what time he would arrive. He put covers on his shoes to keep our house clean and he wrote up an estimate before he began the job, it ended up on the low end. He insisted on cleaning up but I said it was not necessary. Dave is a very honest, hardworking guy who does quality work. He also mentioned that he is 5th generation plumber, no doubt those who went before him would be proud of him!"

"I requested quotes from four companies ranging from $5,044 to $16,500, of which, Randy's Electric completed the work at $6,763. It was $6,156 for the upgraded panel, upgraded service and electrical work. It was $607 for the Tesla Gen3 Wall Connector install. I chose Randy's Electric over competitor as they (1) gave three realistic estimates based on transparency of materials and labor cost, (2) were responsive w/ consistent electricians, and (3) had a reasonable yet realistic cost. The low cost provider was Stafford Home Services, but I declined to use them because the individual came in the house for 15 minutes, acknowledged he wasn't electrician, but gave an estimate, which felt rushed and as though he didn't want to be there. The $16,500 quote came from ServiceToday, which felt significantly overpriced. Moreover, the lead electrician did no estimate having his apprentices wander house. They also said everything needed replacement. Randy's Electric was easy to work with by doing easy payment processing, electronic quotes/invoices, kept the house clean, kept us informed, and were very responsive. We also used Tom (lead electrician) who was consistent during each trip. He also "listened" to our asks at each step inspecting the needs himself. I ask each other service provider about a dedicated circuit to the sub pump and none of them remembered. I will continue to work with Randy's Electric as long as they continue to do a good job and provide reasonable quotes."

"We were very happy with Aleksey's work, attention to detail, professionalism, fair price and dedication to fixing our problem (a leaking shower). We had paid a different contractor to repair this leak and after a year the leak was back. Aleksey updated his approach to the repair as we learned more about the source of the leak, as he was determined to make sure the leak will not return. As the plan for the repair evolved he only charged us for the materials, not the additional time. He also removed the grout and re-grouted the walls of the shower, replaced several cracked tiles, and acid washed the tile floor of the bathroom. His pricing was very fair and he was always responsive and punctual. The work looks great! We would definitely hire Aleksey in the future if we were doing tile work."

"Contacted Water Heaters Now to replace 30-year old water heater. Shane ran through all our options, doing an excellent job of explaining the differences, pluses, and minuses of the many choices. Based on the conversation with Shane, and the fact Water Heaters Now is a Rheem certified "Pro Plumber", decided to proceed with Water Heaters Now. Even though we were not under an emergency as old water heater was still working, Shane and company were able to come out the next day. The installer, Jake, arrived on-time, was very professional, did a great job explaining the replacement process, explaining the maintenance aspects of the new water heater, and leaving the work area in very clean condition. Based on our experience with Shane, Jake, and Water Heaters Now, would highly recommend Water Heaters Now to anyone who asks."

"Very well and we found Profi’s excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail very impressive. We had a problem with our plumber at the 11th hour which seriously jeopardized the project. Profit had a connection, made a call, that evening the plumber arrived and completed the work and the project was back on track. We also found the team to be dedicated and committed to the customer. They were even willing to work late to keep the project on time."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Start by confirming your home's construction year, as older properties feature galvanized steel or cast iron pipes. Identify your sewer connection type, noting whether you use the regional sewer system or a private septic tank. Check your permit history to ensure past plumbing was inspected properly. You must also verify your service line material to determine if you have a lead or galvanized pipe that requires a replacement in MN.

Helpful?

Thorough plumbing features a closed permit with a passed final inspection on file. Exterior underground pipes must sit below the 42-inch frost depth to prevent freezing. Correctly installed drain lines will have visible vent stacks exiting through the roof without gurgling sounds. Additionally, a compliant sump pump discharge routes water away from your foundation and never connects directly into the sanitary sewer system in Rosemount.

Helpful?

Build a reliable routine to protect your plumbing from harsh Rosemount winters. In the fall, disconnect exterior hose bibs and blow out irrigation systems before the first freeze. During winter, monitor unconditioned spaces to prevent frozen pipes. In spring, check your sump pump operation to handle melting snow. Finally, service your water softener in the summer to combat high mineral content in the local municipal water supply.

Helpful?

Many homeowners skip required permits for water heater replacements and basement bathroom additions. Another common error involves routing sump pump discharge into floor drains, which violates state codes. People also forget to disconnect garden hoses from frost-free bibs before winter, leading to burst pipes. Finally, failing to account for hard water during plumbing installations causes accelerated scale buildup and corrosion on unprotected fixtures in MN.

Helpful?

Consider the heavy clay soils throughout Rosemount, which create slow water percolation and affect drainage system performance for plumbing. Plan exterior excavation work between May and October, as frozen ground prevents winter digging. You must also design irrigation expansions around seasonal outdoor watering restrictions. Furthermore, review local homeowner association rules, as many planned developments enforce strict guidelines regarding exterior utility work and visible irrigation features.
