With over 10 years of experience, we do lots as to general construction and remodeling you have the ideas and we have the skills and tools to get the job done. At this time I work with my employees to assure the customers desing a quality meets high then there expectations. All our work is filed and decided off of legal documentation meaning contracts are needed upon doing the work requested by the customer.

"Everything went very well and very quickly. Owner was smart and communicated well. Worked with me to provide 3 separate quotes and then when we picked the best option he went right to work and finished it quickly. If we ever need anything else he will be first person I call."

"Despicable business practices. Scott Ferrell is dishonest, combative and impossible to work with. He charges an obscene amount, inflates his costs and is unwilling to discuss with the customer. His defense is the same with each customer - your house was the problem before he arrived. Don't waste your time. There are many honest, hardworking tradesmen in Minneapolis. Avoid this one. *FYI: He has two profiles on Angie's List - let that be a warning. There is a consumer warning that pops up when you click on the other business listing.*"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

A C-wire connects your thermostat to your household heating and cooling system to provide full-time 24V power to the thermostat. The wire connects to the terminals labeled C in the furnace and thermostat in most configurations. However, in some cases, you can bypass the fan-only function and connect the C-wire to the G terminal at the furnace.

At a minimum, you need an electrician to inspect the house wiring after a fire. The electrician will need to replace damaged or melted wires. If the electrical wiring is old, about 25 years or more, you should rewire the house after a fire. Old wiring can increase the risk of another fire, so replacing the wires is the safest option.

The lifespan of an average breaker box is 25 to 40 years, depending on the type and electrical events that occur in your home. Frequent power outages or surges can cause the breaker box’s lifespan to shorten. Maintain this essential electrical component by avoiding turning it off and inspecting it regularly for signs of damage.

Full home electrical inspections are mandatory if you’re buying a new home, but if you’re just looking for a safety checkup, you have some flexibility. If you don’t have any concerns and your property is relatively new, a basic inspection is usually sufficient. If it’s been a long time since your home was last inspected, or it’s an older home, a full home inspection can help catch any concerns that may fly under the radar.

Basic smart light switches are available for as little as $20. If you can install them yourself, it’s a home upgrade that won’t break the bank. Many homeowners view them as a worthwhile investment for the additional convenience and security they can offer. However, they are a little more tricky to install than standard light switches, so if you don’t have the electrical knowledge to do a DIY job, unless you need a lighting upgrade, remember these are a nice-to-have rather than a necessary purchase.
