"Anthony did a super job. The price seemed reasonable though I am no expert on construction costs. The work I had done as the plaster and taping of the drywall which I had already installed."

"Had our basement finished by Luke in first half of 2018. We hired Luke because he listened to what we wanted and provided a great plan to maximize the available space within our modest budget. He worked at a steady pace with an apprentice to do the majority of the work -- framing, egress window install, drywall, multiple door install, closets, shower surround install, painting and flooring. What he couldn't do legally, he hired competent helpers: plumber, electrician, and HVAC. I would not hesitate to hire Luke. He is a friendly communicator, excellent craftsman and a man of integrity (you can take him at his word)."

"Goldsmithâ s work on our bathroom project exceeded our expectations! He was professional and friendly. He helped us pick out the best materials and completed the work in just two days! He left our house clean and was respectful of our family as we were at home while he worked. We couldnâ t have been happier with the quality of his work. We will definitely call him again for the next project! We would highly recommend Goldsmith Design!"

"Working with dry air restoration was a great experience. they were on time and the work was done very efficient. The quality of their work was exceptional and the price was almost $2,000 cheaper than the estimate I received from another company.

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor depends on its type, material, and how it is removed. Plastic anchors, such as expansion or self-drilling types, are generally considered single-use because they are designed to expand and are likely to break or become deformed upon removal. Metal anchors, like toggle bolts, are more durable and can often be reused if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle mechanism can fall inside the wall when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged or must be cut for removal, it cannot be reused regardless of its material.

If you only have tiny holes in your drywall (for example, dents or nail marks), you probably won’t need a patch kit. Instead, you can plug the hole with a small amount of spackle. Once the spackle dries, you can sand the area and paint over it—just like you would in the steps outlined above.

The best tool for skim coating drywall is a skim coating blade, which can smooth out joint compound in wide stretches. While you could use a smaller drywall knife for skim coating, the smaller size means it’ll take longer to smooth out each section. Instead, consider investing in a skim coating blade for the quickest application.

Most load-bearing walls are exterior, though they can also be interior.

The best tool for cutting a hole in drywall is a drywall saw. Its serrated blade and ergonomic design make it efficient for both straight cuts and more intricate shapes, ensuring clean and precise results in various drywall cutting applications.
