The inspection period can range from a week up to around 21 days, depending on the area, the state of the market, and how quickly the seller wants or needs the deal to progress.

The person who requests the inspection should select the inspector themselves. This way, there are no conflicts of interest, and the inspection report offers an objective, unbiased look into the condition of the property.

Part of a pre-drywall inspector’s job is ensuring all work done on the home is up to code. If they discover anything that doesn’t comply, these fixes may be required by the local government or by the lender financing the build.
