Customers say: True professional

"My (now) wife and I hired Christine after I sold my house. We had way too much stuff and not even close to enough space. At the time, we were wedding planning, dealing with serious health issues and raising a toddler. Boxes were everywhere, and we were in a crisis. We knew that we needed a long term solution and that it would be a series of help-sessions from a professional to get us to where we want to be. Christine unpacked the boxes and created space through organization that allowed us to have our home back. She helped us through the crisis, and we look forward to continuing to work with her. She turned a cluttered and crammed small storage space into a neatly organized and spacious place, allowing us to enjoy ourselves and the space more. She unpacked and decluttered the garage. She suggested a special area be set-up for our toddler which only became possible after organization. We are at the beginning of getting organized, and we are happy and grateful to have found Christine to help us get our home in the condition we want."

"The cleaning was alright--always a different crew, some better than others. But they did show up reliably on service dates--though never on the same schedule so I couldn't plan around them. My concern was customer service. The staff persistently shared strong political views even when I made it clear (politely) that I did not share their opinions. Found it especially disturbing that they would be vocally anti-immigrant given so many their employees were, indeed, immigrants. Not professional--or polite or respectful. I decided to take my business elsewhere."

"Trevor was amazing. Him and his team did high quality work and were very thorough in explaining details to us. They were on time and stayed in constant communication. There were a few minor issues but Trevor was prompt and quick to fix them and was extremely professional. I would highly recommend Trevor and his company Minnesota Construction and Property Management to anyone looking for high quality construction at a very reasonable price and excellent customer service."

"Everything went great!! I was using a competitor, but Insight beat the current providers contract price and will treat for wasps with an enhanced approach. Up front, I was looking for the cost savings, and after a year, I will also be able to compare Insight to my previous provider. The Insight Rep applying the treatment was timely and professional. He was thorough in his explanations and service."

"Thier work was thorough and they provided us with resources for other services we may need. We found thier recommendations to be true and on point. Dealing with a parent’s belongings is a difficult step. After searching the Internet and reading articles such as “Sorry, nobody wants your parents stuff” my brothers and I came to the realization that the values that my mother placed on her belongings, perhaps applicable 20 years ago, are no longer in play in today's market. We each selected a few choice pieces that had sentimental and memorial value attached to them, and reluctantly liquidated the rest through this service. It was a difficult choice, we were saying goodbye to what amounts to the essence of who she was, her lovely furnishings and decorations which she had carefully collected over the years. It is hard not to feel guilty, she would often share with each of us how great she thought the value of each of these items was and who should have what. The reality is that the marketplace is saturated with the belongings of the greatest generation. A generation of collectors that all want to pass on to their children their treasures. My brothers and I are in our late 50s and early 60s, we have long ago decorated our homes with our own unique styles and personality. Sadly, we did not have room for a 200 pound Marble topped dresser made in the Louis the XIVth style nor a 4' x 5’ vintage reproduction in an ornate gilded frame. It would've been grand to have had the time to market each item individually on eBay and maximize the most profit. Time is money though so you have to spend money to make money. In the end the whole process seemed too overwhelming, time consuming and painful. We simply needed to clear her home and we needed to do it thoroughly. we're so grateful we were able to find this service. To all of those out there who are going through this, sooner is better than later. We are grateful we did not have to deal with her things after she passed."

Garage Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

An insulated garage door is a great long-term investment if it’s within your budget. They save energy and give the door year-round usability. In other words, the door pays for itself after a few nasty winters. Most modern garage doors already have a fair amount of insulation, so look into those options if you don’t feel comfortable splurging.

It’s best to prevent cold air from entering your garage through the space underneath the garage door. Stop cold air in its tracks by adding or replacing the weatherstripping underneath the door seal. You can also add weatherstripping along the sides and top of the garage door to prevent air leakage, and it’s a relatively easy DIY fix.

The difference between vinyl and rubber garage door bottom seals comes down to cost, flexibility, and climate. Vinyl is the budget-friendly option, lasting well in moderate climates and resisting wear and tear. In colder climates, it can get stiff and make installation more difficult. Alternatively, rubber offers more flexibility, even in freezing temperatures, and better sticks to uneven surfaces. Rubber is more expensive but tends to be more adaptable.

There are three ways to open the garage door when the power is out. One is to invest in a solar panel and battery system or generator backup power. Another method is to use the quick-release key to disconnect the garage door from the garage door opener. You can also use the key to your house to wait out the power outage and reset the garage door opener once the power returns.

If your garage door key is inside your home and you don’t have a spare key on hand to access your entry points, then call a locksmith.

We recommend hiring a garage door professional to install a garage door opener for you. Garage door openers aren’t terribly complex, but setting them up properly, setting the lift and drop speed, and installing sensors that work correctly can take a few hours for a DIYer. The cost to install a garage door opener is around $400, and it will save you a lot of time and frustration. Garage professionals have the skills and equipment necessary to work with potentially dangerous garage door components, like springs.
