We do not stock anything, everything is custom made per project. Most components are made in house such as drawer boxes, doors, and finishing. Our services include field measurements; computer drawings; and educated, experienced interior designers working along side our skilled craftsmen. We do work for residential clients with home remodels or new construction. We also work with commercial projects.

"I first googled handyman in Marcell a few years ago and Handyman Pete appeared. I called and he answered personally and came over that day to introduce himself. From that day forward he has become a friend who we completely trust entering our cabin to do any project I throw at him. We work together as a team communicating by phone or text even sending photos along the way of ideas and projects in process and completion. He has such great ideas to share and he’s open minded to all mine. We are a great team!!! He’s so easy going and fun to work with and his pricing can’t be beat. We plan on having him replace our existing roof to metal next. I consider Pete as part of our family :) I can text or call him to stop by and check on our property if needed in case of a storm or even pest controlling. While you could conceivably select any paint finish, paintable wallpaper tends to look its best with a flat or eggshell finish. A higher gloss paint might make the texture pop more, but it can look a bit dated once the paint has dried. And don’t worry about whether a water-based latex paint will loosen the wallpaper. Paintable wallpaper has a coating that prevents this from happening, so using latex paints without applying an oil-based primer to seal things first is fine.

You can paint over wallpaper if it’s smooth and in good shape. But if there are bumps or tears in the wallpaper, they’ll likely show through the paint. Similarly, you should avoid painting over textured wallpaper because the ridges and patterns in the paper will be visible. In either of these situations, you should remove the wallpaper before painting.

You can hide wallpaper seams when painting by applying joint compound over them and then sanding thoroughly until smooth. You’ll want to apply two layers of compound, allowing for four to eight hours between coats. Do a light sanding between coats and then after the final coat is dry. Once the compound dries completely, you can begin priming and painting the wall.

It’s best to remove wallpaper rather than paint over it. You should only paint over wallpaper if removing it would damage the wall, the surface is relatively smooth, or there are minimal problem areas—such as slight peeling and lifted seams—that you can fix easily. Painting over wallpaper can save time, but it can create more problems if the wallpaper is in poor condition and you don’t properly prep the area for painting. Depending on the state of the wallpaper, color, and textures could show through, and moisture from the paint could loosen the adhesive, causing unsightly bubbling.

It’s always better to follow proven drywall repair tips and fix the seams that look bad. However, if you simply want to make them less noticeable until you have time to fix them, you can use paint. A darker color of paint makes bad drywall tape seams less noticeable than light-colored paint. Matte paint hides bad seams better than glossy paint does, too.
