By 1980 Advent converted an old filling station into their current office at 350 Little Canada Road, and the company's focus shifted to remodeling. Advent is a member-in-good-standing of the Remodelors Council of the Twin Cities (RCTC), the Builders Ass'n. of the Twin Cities (BATC), the Builders Ass'n. of Minnesota (BAM) and the National Ass'n. of Home Builders (NAHB). Here are some key takeways: (1) price gouging, (2) untrained technicians, (3) non-transparent pricing, (4) requirement that a credit card be left on permanent file with the company in order to schedule service, (5) won't schedule service while the homeowner is home but rather shows up without notice, (6) aggresively rude Service Manager (Jesse Peterson), and (7) unethical practices."
