"Chris and Mike did an excellent job! Our sidewalk was sinking 2-3 inches in spots. They explained exactly how the process works. Started the job on time and was very professional. I'm impressed with how well it turned out. Our sidewalk is now level. Thank you!"

"The service was for Radon Mitigation in our home that had higher than acceptable Radon levels. The work was professionally done, and care was taken to protect carpeting etc during their work. The crew updated us home owners as they did their work and asked permissions for needed modifications to the house. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality workmanship, congenial communication and moderate pricing."

"Innovative, basement authority was referred to us. JP came to our home and did the free inspection. He was very thoughtful and professional. He provided us with a quote for installing of inside drain system , new sump pump and air filtration system. We were pleased with the description and details of the products suggested. We accepted the bid and a month later the team came to our home. Within two days we had the new system installed. Everyone was great. Very attentive to our needs and desires. We would highly recommend them."

"Randy Gardner responded immediately to my request for a visit and estimate. He looked inside and outside, and told me I did not need to go to the expense of the drain tile and waterproofing. He said the house (build in 1917) had settled, and that the sidewalk along the side of the house was sinking toward the house, resulting in the water in the basement. He recommended removing the existing sidewalk, and laying new concrete with the proper slope away from the house. Although it was not a cheap fix, it was half of what I feared it would cost. The crew was on time, efficient, and did a great job. I highly recommend G Gardner Concrete and Waterproofing!"

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Chaska often weigh longevity against the initial investment. Polyurethane injection is a premium solution suited for the climate, while mudjacking is a more budget-friendly option. You'll also face trade-offs with project timing, as spring and summer are peak seasons. Finally, consider aesthetics versus function, as some methods are less disruptive, and Chaska permits can add time but ensure compliance.

Helpful?

In Chaska, a small issue can become serious if you see stair-step cracks, which indicate settling in the area's expansive clay soil. Other red flags include a widening gap between a slab and your home's foundation or repeated damage each spring after the freeze-thaw cycle. Water pooling that creates ice dams or visible soil shifting around concrete edges also signals a larger problem.

Helpful?

Before starting concrete leveling in Chaska, check if the slab is attached to your home’s foundation or near basement walls. Many local homes have gas, water, or electrical lines running under driveways and patios. Also, look for potential interference with drainage systems like French drains or sump pump discharge lines, which are common in the area due to clay soil conditions.

Helpful?

In Chaska, most residential concrete leveling jobs are completed the same day. Small projects like sidewalks often take just one to three hours, with polyurethane foam injection being the fastest method at two to four hours total. Keep in mind that Chaska's clay-rich soil can influence curing time, and projects are best scheduled between April and October to avoid winter weather delays.

Helpful?

For concrete leveling in MN, polyurethane foam injection is a superior choice. Its lightweight nature won't stress the soil, and it offers excellent resistance to Minnesota's freeze-thaw cycles. While traditional mudjacking is an option, polyurethane cures much faster, which is ideal for the shorter construction season. Materials should always be rated for the local climate to ensure long-term durability and performance.
