"Was charged 3x more than the quote with no previous notice or explanation!!! ??? After patiently waiting until 6/20 for a “spring” irrigation startup due to scheduling, was told by the technician that they would setup the system and come speak with me if any other charges or repairs were needed. Technician left with no communication and received a $250 bill the next morning with no choice. Customer service was terrible and received threats that they would trespass and remove parts from my system if I did not pay. Payment was made within 12 hours of receipt since, but terrible experience! So many opportunities for a more positive customer experience- even to apologize that the quote was exceeded without notification and no repair needs were indicated during the service ( even with explicit commitment to doing so ). Instead of owning it, the tone was abrasive and asking if I’d like the equipment removed from my property. I almost never write reviews but don’t want anyone else to unknowingly experience this feeling?"

"So happy with the project. Mike and crew did a wonderful job working with me to create a retaining wall to support a driveway as well as designed in ground basketball hoop into the wall. We get a many compliments from the regular walkers in the neighborhood. Mike was responsive and easy to work with. The paving contractor changed the grade of the driveway, and we then had to unexpectedly make changes to the wall. Mike and Great Goats were great in extending the project, continuing to work with me to change and complete the project in a timely and cost effective manner. Would hire again."

"Oversold and under delivered. Great ideas but when JLM felt like they were losing money on our job. It all changed. Be VERY careful. Get everything in writing. Be specific. Size of plants/shrubs, warranty, timelines, follow up process ... Have your friend that is a lawyer review the agreement. We spent over $70K and cannot get a phone call, text or email returned. Now we have to hire another landscaping company to correct the issues."

"Chris and his team were really great to work with. Professional. Good communication from start to finish. Everything was on time. We would definitely work with him again. We are very satisfied with the final result. He was also very reasonably priced. We got three quotes for our job. One came back at 3 times as much as Chris's quote, and the other was almost double. They paid attention to details like taking care to not ruin the yard as they accessed our job site from the road and cleaning up everything when they were done. We can't say enough good things about Chris and his team."

"Be careful here. We asked for a design with a specific budget in mind ($40k). The design we got back was for $100k+ with no options to get us back to the budget we had originally discussed. This was after we paid $1,500 for the design...which, again, was useless to us because it was so far outside of our budget. We brought this up via email and got a generic response about paying in installments or using lesser quality materials. We asked a follow-up question after that, and it's been radio silence ever since. We're moving on to a company that respects our budget, but just wanted to throw this out as a warning. Get your budget in writing on the contract before paying for the design fee. Design was beautiful btw."

"Zero contact before and after the job. Didn’t let us know they were coming so they over sprayed all over my pickup. Also decided to tear out a plant we had transplanted into our backyard from our wedding ceremony. We should’ve known better when we had to ask multiple times to even get a quote or get on a schedule. We were wrong."
