Outdoor Concepts
About us
Outdoor concepts is a design/build landscape company that focuses on the e. metro and w. wisconsin. Our specialty is the creative use of natural stone, though we also work with some concrete products. Our designs tend toward the more natural and simple end of the spectrum, striking a nice balance between art and utility in the competitive and cost-conscious environment of today, finding a way to solve a problem in an effective, creative, yet low-cost way is our mandate. We are a small company, running only one crew at a time, which maximizes our ability to affect and control results, to the advantage of our clients. The business owner, joe ebertz, spends significant time on every job we do, as a quality control measure. Additional email - [email protected].

"[member name removed] it's always a pleasure to work for you at your beautiful home and property. With all the wonderful sculptures you have we feel that we are working in a living museum/gallery. We've collaborated so many times over the years, and truly feel that your place is one of our very favorites, a place we feel most proud to have done some of our finest work. All the stone fences and pillars, all the beds and plantings, the patios and walks... your place is one of a kind. May you enjoy it for years to come."
"Thank you very much, [member name removed], for the privilege of working for you, and for the wonderful review. As always, I enjoyed our collaboration immensely, and the entire process, from planning to execution. Your ideas are always well thought out, and always serve to improve the final result. Kudos to you, and I look forward to more collaboration moving into the future."
"Thank you [Member name removed] for the wonderful review. I enjoyed immensely our collaborative effort, and the back and forth between us. Many great things resulted from this back and forth, and the finished landscape is truly awesome to behold. I look forward to watching it morph and mature years into the future. Yours, Joe Ebertz"
We sat down and planned the work to be done and established the day to begin and how long it would take. The price was negotiated to mutual satisfaction, and he came in about the middle of estimates provided by four companies. He assured us that the moving of heavy equipment and large rocks across our back yard could be done with little damage, and that which occurred could be easily repaired.
He did the work personally with one other workman on time and with an eye to appearances. They were courteous and careful.
"Thanks so much, (member name removed), for both the job in the first place, last fall, and your very positive review. It was a pleasure to work for you and to achieve such nice results with a well-executed plan. All the best to you both moving forward! Thanks, Joe Ebertz"
"Thanks so much for the favorable review, [removed member name]. We were also very happy with the results of said job, and as time goes on it looks better and better, with the maturing plants and elements around it. Don't forget, you had some valuable input as to the shape/design as well, so it was a collaborative effort that turned out very well. Thanks again, Joe"
Also, there is a raised garden bed separate from the patio so that I can grow herbs outside the kitchen door. They also threw in a rock border around my air-conditioning unit and hose area. It is quite beautiful in all.
"Thanks so much, [member name removed] for the nice review. The collaborative effort and problem solving (trees and roots) was, in the final analysis, both fun and productive. The raised patio really enhanced your back yard and transformed it from something pretty blase, into a space that wows. We're very proud of what we were able to accomplish together. Thanks again, Joe"
