"Metro Paving is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, courteous, on time, and they completed my project during the right weather conditions this fall. I knew what I wanted, and they gave me their opinion and priced my project accordingly. They were not the low price contractor; just the best qualified one for my project. I would recommend them for your next project."

"Justin did a good job in putting back our vinyl siding. He arrived on time, is pleasant spoken, and was quickly able to complete the job. I would request Justin's help again if other work come up in the future."

"Keyth was extremely professional at all times and arrived exactly on schedule. He was honest with my roof inspection noting no damage was detected, which reassured me that he was not out to take advantage of insurance companies as dishonest "storm chasers" frequently do. Keyth kept an open communication with me, and updated his whereabouts prior to arriving, and arrived on time as promised which was refreshing. I will definitely be contacting him again for his services when the need arises in the future. Thanks Keyth. Keep up the good work!"

"We had damage due to a hail storm. The insurance covered the roof, siding, garage door, and window wraps. Since we were having all this work done we hired Integrity to do the soffits, fachia and gutters. We are happy with all the work that was done. The work took longer than I had anticipated but Andy worked with us thru the whole process."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

While blacktop is a type of asphalt, the terms should not be used interchangeably, as not all asphalt qualifies as blacktop. The primary differences are in their composition, production process, and ideal applications. Blacktop contains more stone than other types of asphalt and is heated to a higher temperature during production—300°F or more—while hot-mix asphalt is heated to between 275°F and 300°F. The ratio of bitumen (a tar-like crude oil) is a key differentiator, though sources vary: some state blacktop has less bitumen, making it less durable, while others claim it has a higher ratio. Due to these differences, asphalt is generally more durable and better for high-traffic areas like highways and streets, while blacktop is more suitable for playgrounds and residential driveways. For a driveway project, it is best to consult a professional to determine the most appropriate material.

Maintaining a driveway depends on its material. For concrete and asphalt, it's best to clean the surface thoroughly twice a year with a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Sealing the driveway is crucial to protect it from water damage and freeze-thaw cycles. Before applying a sealant, pressure wash the surface to remove any loose sealant, dirt, or stains, as sealing over them will trap them. Any cracks or expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. In colder climates, use sand instead of salt for de-icing. Sand helps melt snow and ice without accelerating the freeze-thaw process, which can cause cracks.

You don't technically need to seal your driveway after pressure washing, but doing so will help keep your driveway clean for longer. The best driveway sealer depends on the type of driveway you have. To seal asphalt, consider an asphalt emulsion sealer, fast-drying sealer, or latex acrylic sealer. Concrete driveways commonly use acrylic sealers or penetrating sealers.

Regular sealing, drainage management, and debris removal help prevent asphalt deterioration, protecting and extending surface life.
