"The men not only fixed the problem, but labels my circuit breaker box and asked about a missing smoke detector. Very mannered. They were to arrive then 10-12. I received a phone call saying it would be closer to 12 so if I had some errands to run, I wouldn't be wasting time waiting. Simply put..customer service and service were excellent."

"Our chimney had some water damage and we needed to find a company that would take it down to a certain level in order to mitigate the bricks that were damaged as well as have it be a certain height for the gas fireplace we were having installed to be properly vented out of. On of top of that we needed a chase pan built and placed on top to make sure no more water damage occurred. Guardian Chimney Solutions was able to tackle the job with no problem! Joseph was very responsive with all the questions we had and was able to walk us through the steps. He was able to fit us in to his busy schedule in order to make our timeline of getting the chimney work done before the gas fireplace went in. His team went above and beyond the day that they were here. The way in which our chimney was built made it very hard to deconstruct the crown at the top. The job took longer than they expected but they still stayed until they finished the job and were very kind and respectful to my family and neighbors as they worked. Even though the job took twice as long as they had planned, they still honored their original quote. Our chimney looks great! We highly recommend Guardian Chimney Solutions."

"Very well, it was a complicated installation with the existing fireplace having to be cut out with a torch and with both natural gas and electric lines run to the fireplace. Everything got done on time and looks exactly as advertised despite the additional subcontractors required to do the job."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Safety precautions include proper ventilation, regular inspections for leaks, and ensuring tanks and fittings are in good condition to prevent accidental release or fire hazards.

Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

Local codes often mandate specific fittings, permits, and vent considerations for permitted function and safety, which are enforced by professionals.
