"Ron was wonderful to work with! He was able to bring samples to my home the same day I called for a consultation. On the day of installation, Ron and his crew showed up on time and quickly got to work removing the old carpet. Removal and installation of the carpet in the basement and stairs took them less than five hours. The carpet looks great and is so soft underfoot."

"We called John Nash around 9 am, and he arrived at our house about 3 hours later. He explained that our carpet was delaminating, so he needed to stretch it with the tools he had in his van. We had a carpet bubbling problem, and he fixed that, too. He was here on time, diagnosed and fixed our carpet problem in about an hour. We’ll definitely use him again."

"I am typically not one to post reviews, but in this case I feel it’s a must. I hired Daisy Carpet Cleaning to clean my carpet and furniture cushions, all of which are a cream color. My overall experience and satisfaction, ie customer service, quality of the work, work ethic, professional and friendly demeanor, by far outshines any previous experiences I’ve had with other companies, and believe me, I feel like I’ve tried them all over the years! Matt and Bryan explained the warranty and guaranteed customer satisfaction, used techniques that had never been done in past cleanings and even came back a second time, after the carpet dried, to work on a very stubborn area that in the past has never come totally clean. In comparison to past results and experiences with other companies, well, there is no comparison, Daisy exceeded my expectations. My search is over, I finally found a quality company who stands behind their work! And out of 5 stars, I give them a 6!"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Your Bloomington home is likely suitable for carpet installation if the subfloors are solid, dry, and free of moisture issues. Consistent indoor humidity and a stable foundation are important for long-term carpet performance. Forced air heating systems work well with carpet, but check for any signs of dampness in basements before proceeding. If you have pets or allergies, consider low-pile or hypoallergenic carpeting to better suit your household’s needs.

Helpful?

New carpet installation in Bloomington can noticeably enhance your home’s resale appeal. Buyers often prioritize updated flooring, especially in family-friendly neighborhoods. Choosing neutral carpet colors and quality underlayment appeals to a wider range of potential buyers. Homes with professionally installed carpet tend to attract more interest and may sell faster, particularly if the property was built between the 1970s and 1990s, when flooring updates are often needed.

Helpful?

Coordinating carpet installation with other home upgrades in Bloomington can streamline your renovation process. Many homeowners pair carpet projects with HVAC improvements, window replacements, or basement updates to reduce overall disruption. Scheduling multiple interior projects together—especially during the winter—can help contractors work more efficiently and shorten your project timeline. Ask local professionals about bundled service options to maximize convenience and minimize downtime.

Helpful?

For Bloomington homes, nylon carpet is well-suited for fluctuating temperatures, while polyester options perform well in high-traffic or damp spaces. In lower levels or basements, opt for padding that offers enhanced moisture protection. If your home features radiant heating, high-density foam or rubber padding is recommended. Always choose installation supplies designed for cold climates, such as tack strips and adhesives formulated for low temperatures, to ensure lasting results.

Helpful?

In Bloomington, seasonal weather shifts can influence carpet installation projects. Cold winters may slow adhesive setting and make carpet fibers less flexible, while humid summers require extra time for materials to adjust indoors. To minimize delays and ensure proper installation, schedule projects during late spring or early fall when temperatures and humidity are more stable. For basement areas, selecting underlayment that resists moisture intrusion is especially important due to local groundwater conditions.
