"Very well! Of the four companies we received quotes from, RoofAdvisor provided the most thorough inspection. They then provided a prompt and highly specified PDF quote which was also the lowest of the four. Chris, Brandon and Elise, the management team, were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. They answered every question we had in a very timely fashion, and delivered a high quality finished project, on time and on budget. No surprises! Great job!"

We are a small crew of 3-5 guys. We mostly sub-contract from local contractors such as Constantine Construction in Shelby Twp., Mi and Centennial Home Group. About me...I started out rough framing residential houses back in 1989. After about 5 yrs solid of framing, I moved into roofing with constantine. I am a seasoned carpenter and a master roofer. I am perfect for that roof job that has a lot of wood repair or re-sheeting. I also do siding. Small repairs, skylights, and deck repair are what I do as well. Hire me directly and save by cutting out the middle man.

Home Building questions, answered by experts

Ranch and colonial-style homes are often the most affordable to build. They have a common layout with available designs that are easy to adjust in simple ways without having to spend too much on a structural engineer or architect. Both types of homes' symmetry, simple roofs, and often one or two-story plans mean they often fall in the $150 to $200 square-foot range, putting them right around average.

You can’t add home addition costs to an existing mortgage, but you can include them in a new mortgage if you take out a rehab loan. Rehab loans—FHA-backed 203k loans and conventional rehab loans—are for more than the value of a property, and the excess is meant to cover the cost of a renovation or home addition.

Home additions cost between $22,000 and $84,000, with the average addition totaling $51,000. Project costs can vary greatly depending on the type of addition and the required work to complete it. Homeowners can expect to pay between $80 and $210 per square foot for an addition. Conversions of existing space will sit toward the lower end of that range, while bump-outs and new construction add-ons will push toward the higher end.

The national average cost of a building permit is about $1,600, but this number includes extensive renovations. Homeowners typically spend between $150 and $2,000 in general on one or multiple permits for their project. Conversely, permits for simple projects, such as minor electrical renovations, could cost as little as $10.

While many different factors determine whether a house is classified as a villa, many villas are detached homes with a European design influence, often with an emphasis on luxury and comfort. Modern villas often feature outdoor spaces such as terraces, gardens, or patios.
