Gesink Building Services has combined with Walker Roofing and Exteriors and sub contracts with other companies to complete larger projects. We can handle most construction and handyman projects; its best to call and I will look at the work and give you a quote. I either quote the work or work by time and materials; this is determined at the start of the project.

Leading Edge Custom Woodworking is locally owed and operated by Jim Thompson. LECW accepts cash, checks, and all major credit cards. A down payment is required prior to work being started. Free design consultations and free estimates are available. LECW is proud to use eco-friendly materials and is environmentally conscious with all jobs. LECW is happy to work with local, builders, remodelers, designers, and contractors.

"This project turned out okay, but it was finished 4 and half weeks past when it was said to be finished. The owner came into my home swearing needlessly and commenting on how things were not going to look good in my kitchen and that I should have done things differently. I told him how I felt and he said he prides himself on customer service. But offered no way to make up for anything. He also came 30 min late to out first instal and came nearly 2 hours late to the final installation. Then during the final installation it took him 3 hours to do when he said 1 to 2 hours because he took a total of 9 phone calls all lasting at least 5 minutes. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN."

Woodworking questions, answered by experts

A board foot is a volumetric unit and is primarily used for pricing and planning larger projects where volume is a factor. Pricing lumber by the board foot aids in understanding exactly how much wood you’re purchasing, as volume is a more accurate unit of measurement compared to square feet.

New builds, remodels, and additions often necessitate professional framing expertise.

Yes, home builders need to be licensed in every state and municipality in the country. The specific license required varies based on the location and the work, but most states require that the builder hold a general contractor’s license at minimum. Some states and cities also require that plumbing, electrical, roofing, and sewage system construction require individual licenses, in which case the builder may subcontract the work. You can use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to confirm that the builder you’re considering holds all the proper licenses.

Yes, professionals offer various roofing materials, including shingles and metal, to match home aesthetics.

The national average cost of a building permit is about $1,600, but this number includes extensive renovations. Homeowners typically spend between $150 and $2,000 in general on one or multiple permits for their project. Conversely, permits for simple projects, such as minor electrical renovations, could cost as little as $10.
