Customers say: Quick response

"Bought a house as a first time home buyer and needed some electrical work (inactive 80s alarm system). They came out for a free consultation. They were informative and honest. Travis came out the following week and got everything we needed done in two business days time, during a power outage effecting the state. The pricing was fair and the service was friendly."

"

They did a great job, and we have plans to redo a bathroom. I will totally hire those guys to do the electrical. They were just as helpful, friendly, and nice as you could ever want. It was wonderful. They're helpful, and they're willing to make sure everything is perfect. I just thought they were efficient, helpful, they were professional and they knew what they were doing.

"Hired Current Electrical to install recessed lighting in a room that had no overhead lighting. They recommended LED wafers, a smart switch and LED placement I wouldn't have thought of, but is perfect for that room. Tim quoted our larger project, and was able to get our front room scheduled in time to be before a painting project we already scheduled. Their schedule flexibility to fit us in is why we selected them. They were not the cheapest quote we received, but the quality is worth it. The electrician that did our project kept a professional demeanor and did an outstanding job. Would highly recommend Current Electrical."

"I hired Derek and his colleague to wire up our new hot tub. He was excellent at communicating and providing an estimate before work was started. The quality of work he provided exceeded my expectations. Everything was done neatly, to code, and did not leave a mess at my house. A sprinkler line was damaged during trenching, since we didn't know it was there, and he made the repairs with no questions asked. I would definitely hire him or recommend for electrical work. A+"

"He called me before I had a chance to call him. He was on top of things. He came right over. The problem was not one he could resolve because ot was an issue that was from outside in the electrical meter. He did jar it enough to get things started. The rest was resolved with the electrical company. He was friendly and didn't seem concerned that I asked a lot of questions."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Saline, address electrical issues like burning smells, flickering lights, or exposed wiring right away, as these are urgent safety risks. Outdoor projects are best scheduled for spring or summer to avoid weather delays. Efficiency upgrades or smart home additions can usually wait, but any code violations or insurance requirements should be handled within thirty days to keep your home safe and compliant.

Helpful?

For a smooth electrical project in Saline, confirm you have all necessary permits before work begins and schedule inspections at key milestones. Plan indoor work to avoid winter’s challenges and coordinate with local utilities if upgrades or digging are involved. Clear access to panels and outlets, protect valuables from dust, and notify neighbors of possible disruptions to minimize inconvenience and keep your project on track.

Helpful?

For electrical projects in Saline, select materials rated for Michigan’s temperature swings and humidity, especially in older homes common to the area. Use copper wiring for reliability, AFCI and GFCI protection where required, and moisture-resistant components in basements. For outdoor work, choose UV-resistant conduit. Prioritize energy-efficient devices and always ensure materials meet local code standards for long-term safety and performance.

Helpful?

After electrical work in Saline, schedule a final inspection to confirm code compliance and keep all documentation for your records. Test GFCI outlets monthly, update your home’s electrical panel schedule, and install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as required by Michigan law. Register warranties for new equipment and keep your contractor’s contact information handy for future maintenance or questions.

Helpful?

When comparing quotes in Saline, be wary of unusually low bids, unclear work descriptions, or missing project timelines. If a contractor avoids discussing local code compliance, required permits, or won’t share references from recent Saline jobs, that’s a concern. Watch for requests for full payment upfront, vague material details, or reluctance to provide proof of insurance, as these can signal untrustworthy service.
