"Chuck saved the day! After getting the run around for 2 weeks from pella doors, with no help at all he called when he was 10 minutes away, fixed the screen door and charged 1/4 of what pella would have charged. I will never purchase anything from pella windows and doors again. Once you purchase from them they are done.... They do not stand behind their product. Thank you Haskell service company and Chuck for helping a 93 year old lady in distress. If you need further info I can be reached at 216-973-8663."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Regularly clean pumps, remove debris, and monitor water levels to prevent algae growth and clogging.

You have several options for your pond by getting your yard ready for the winter. You can winterize your koi pond by ensuring it’s at least 5 feet deep so it doesn’t freeze completely, installing a pond heater or aerator and having it run at all times, and installing a deicer if temperatures are dangerously low for an extended period. You can also choose to shut down your pond for the winter by removing all the wildlife in it and bringing it indoors, cleaning out the filter and pump, and then covering the pond with a tarp.

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.

Yes, waterfall edges are still in style and even considered a kitchen classic. At one time, they were considered trendy, but now homeowners appreciate them for their timeless appeal, which adds value to your home.

Yes, it is possible to make a fountain without a pump, though it may seem less intuitive and will require a bit more effort to use. In lieu of an electric pump, there are a few options including hand-cranked pumps or sprinkler systems that can work to provide water for a fountain.
