"The crew did a good job on the concrete leveling and a good price. All other quotes were at least double. They work well with scheduling. They clean up and cover up holes fairly well and give good advice on how to seal from future water damage."

"They went above and beyond a basic job, were very cooperative at every turn, even leveled out ground around the pipe they installed underground which was not so level before. I highly recommend them, but I did not check other prices for the same job, so can't really speak how price competitive they are. But I would hire them again."

"BPS provided us with a solid solution to our ice damming of our new house. While it was more than we originally anticipated spending for the issue. We are glad we did because the problem is no more. Thanks again for your recommendation and help. Jason Brown"

"I had a number of water management services to be done; basement waterproofing, garage gutters, and cement slab raising. They are one the local companies that do it all! Each one of their teams were very professional and respectful of my property. They even went above and beyond by taking care of additional issues they noticed while doing the work they were contracted for...at no additional cost. They are definitely a company I would hire again and recommend to others!"

"The man that came to our house was very nice and we felt as though he was not trying to sell us a basement system, but more-so a piece of mind. Also, he explained exactly where everything would be and how it would all work. Thanks, Roger!"

"They were very good, and were the most affordable. Tony was very knowledgeable, and did a very nice job sealing it because they also had to seal the concrete against my brick wall, and actually did it beveled so it'd look nice."

"I contacted them in 2015 for a quote and never got around to getting the work done. When the floor got worse and I could see into my basement under the adjoining room, I called them back up. They were prompt and honored their previous quote with minimal inflation. My floor was bad. It had settled as much as 2 ft in some places. It took two separate pumping sessions to lift my floor back to level. I am extremely pleased with the work that was completed and I will not hesitate to contact them again if needed."

"Did a great job. Other contractors said patio could not be repaired and needed to be ripped out to put a new patio in. ACE saved me thousands of dollars by lifting and caulking existing patio. They also did a good job of matching the color of the caulk to the stamped concrete color of my patio. Highly recommend these guys."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Mudjacking restores level surfaces, prevents further damage, and is more cost-effective than a full replacement.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.
