I accepted the bid and, while we got off to a few false starts, the work was completed in April 2025. The crew that came out was professional, efficient, and very respectful of my property. The chimney and tuck point repair work that they completed was professionally done and you could tell that they took great pride in Their work from the pictures that they showed me of the completed job. I would recommend this company to anyone needing brickwork restoration and would use them again!"

"Detroit City Sweep came to two of my properties to repair a total of three fireplaces. They did a fine job repairing one gas fireplace and adding caps to my chimney. I had a second gas fireplace that they needed to order a part for. I had to call them half a dozen times to get them to order the part and come back to the house to install it. When they finally did, it turns out they ordered the wrong part. After multiple calls they came out a second time, and again, it was the wrong part. Three weeks passed and on the third visit they brought the wrong part again and said the correct part was going to cost me twice what they originally quoted. I would like to recommend Detroit City Sweep, but I just can't. "

"I have been trying for 2 years to get our fireplace fixed and could not find anyone to even come out and look at it. I saw an ad for Angi’s list and contacted them. They sent me 4 different companies that could do the work and, after checking the reviews, I selected RPF Construction. Robert contacted me immediately, came to the house, outlined everything he would do and gave me a price, which I agreed to. Robert and Tom came the next week with all of the parts that were needed. They started at 8:30 a.m and finished at 4:00 p.m. the same day. We have an airtight freestanding fireplace and they replaced all of the pipe, from the top of the fireplace, through the roof and all outside components. There was a leak in the roof that caused some rust and peeling paint on the firebox. They sanded it down and repainted it, where it stands, without getting paint on anything else. Even the silver screws they painted black. We are so happy with the excellent job that they did!!!"

"I had a decorative chimney wall which the prior owners had not securely fastened to the wall behind. Jim came and gave me a reasonable quote for demolition, haul-away and construction of a properly secured, modern stacked stone chimney wall. Jim and his team arrived on time and took extreme care with the belongings in the room - moving them to a safe distance or completely out of the room. He also took GREAT care to protect the wooden floor in the room - one dropped brick in demolition could easily mar the floor, but Jim ensured that the floor would be protected. In terms of the actual work, the work was performed as promised, with quality, and ahead of schedule. Jim and his team went above and beyond - both from a customer service perspective, and even performing a few items I would not have expected a "regular" company would have taken care of.
