I had a decorative chimney wall which the prior owners had not securely fastened to the wall behind. Jim came and gave me a reasonable quote for demolition, haul-away and construction of a properly secured, modern stacked stone chimney wall. Jim and his team arrived on time and took extreme care with the belongings in the room - moving them to a safe distance or completely out of the room. He also took GREAT care to protect the wooden floor in the room - one dropped brick in demolition could easily mar the floor, but Jim ensured that the floor would be protected. In terms of the actual work, the work was performed as promised, with quality, and ahead of schedule. Jim and his team went above and beyond - both from a customer service perspective, and even performing a few items I would not have expected a "regular" company would have taken care of. I would highly recommend Jim and W.J. Scott Renovations and would gladly hire them again myself.

Jim was fantastic - professional and very knowledgeable. Jim does amazing work and he went over and beyond what I have ever experienced before. The communication was great and he kept me in the loop every step of the way. Would highly recommend Jim to anyone who needs work done around their home. Jim was our 2nd contractor. We had to fire the first one as he was rarely showing up and the work was sub par at best. Jim stepped right in, gave an excellent quote and got started days after! Throughout the process he had to correct several items along the way and did an excellent job! This was a remodel from the floor to the ceiling and included quite a bit of electrical as well as all the trim work. He's super meticulous! Always does a great job cleaning up at the end of the day and puts in the hours to get the job done! We were more than pleased with the outcome and love our new kitchen!
