I’m just a gal that hates Poison Ivy but loves her goats that love Poison Ivy. I promise you, no one in the state of Michigan knows Poison Ivy like I do. My successful kill rate is unmatched. I offer a variety of poison ivy removal methods including all-natural, pesticide free and more. Losing your yard to a jungle of prickles, brambles, brush and a whole lotta greenery you don’t want? We eat those for breakfast! By we, I mean my herd of goats on the go! I also offer brush and vegetation clearing via goat (and now llama) rental. I treat all invasive species of vines including the dreaded Japanese Knotweed, the notorious Oriental Bittersweet, Virginia Creeper and more. Let me, Joe Llama, Kenny Loggins and the rest of the goaty girls help you take back your lawn in the cutest and greenest way possible. Adorable goat entertainment and free fresh fertilizer are always included with the herd! I’ve yet to meet a vine I cannot conquer or a yard we cannot take back. I am always looking for a new challenge. When it comes to poison ivy and other undesirable plants; we win. Hire me; I promise, you’ll be glad you did. Services offered year round. Winter specials are now in full bloom!

I spend my weeks building post frame buildings throughout the mitten state with a crew of 3-5. On the weekends I like to dabble on small construction projects and maintenance. Most of my experience is in framing, roofing and siding but I am familiar with interior trim, stairs, and decks. I am also open to cleaning gutters, helping with garden beds or anything with lawn maintenance. I can pressure wash too. I take pride in my quality but because I am young I am willing to work for cheap for the extra experience.

Lawns questions, answered by experts

Experts recommend aerating a lawn at least once a year. If you haven’t aerated your lawn recently, or if it has a significant amount of thatch buildup, you may need to aerate it twice annually for a few years. Keeping up with a regular aeration schedule helps ensure the long-term health of your yard.

If you accidentally watered your grass too much during the winter months, try aerating your lawn to encourage absorption of the water into the soil and improve drainage. Dethatching your lawn can also help the solid recover from overwatering and encourage healthy root and stalk health in your grass.

If your lawn and general landscape are struggling, consider calling a local landscape specialist to suggest lawn amendments, local plants, and hardscape changes to boost the long-term health of your outdoor space. While you may be able to take on small projects yourself—such as reseeding your lawn or testing the soil—a professional can help you build a plan to bring a struggling yard back to life quickly.

Lawn aerators range in cost depending on what type of aerator you’re purchasing. For example, a manual spike aerator might cost as little as $25, while a motorized core aerator will likely cost more than $1,000. Fortunately, these expensive pieces of equipment can be easily rented from many vendors for far less money.

If you have a beautifully thriving yard with no bald spots, you can choose to aerate your yard once every two years. Otherwise, having your lawn aerated at least once a year is recommended. And in those circumstances where you have a significant amount of thatch buildup or a thinning and bald yard, it's best to aerate twice a year to maintain a healthy lawn.
