Overall project turned out very well, only feedback for GL Landscaping is that some of the finishing work at the end was rushed and they needed more sod to complete the job which they did not come through with.

The first service was great. The quotes were a little high. But we
figured, "you get what you pay for." They came and did a very nice
job... the first time. After that I was wishing I had not contracted
with them. When I emailed to fix a problem with the way the lawn was
mowed, they came out to fix it then charged us DOUBLE! And, to add
insult to injury, the customer service representative was extremely
rude!
We made it clear that we also needed snow removal services.
But when the time drew near and we hadn't heard from them about it we
called and were told they don't do residential snow removal. Had they
told me that from the beginning, I would not have hired them.
Almost $1200 wasted for sub-standard service for 1 summer!

There was better access to the tree from my backyard, and they wanted permission to drive trucks back there.  They said that they would use plywood to prevent tearing up the grass.  The first day, they did.  We reminded them.  After that, they didn't much care what they did to my yard.  One of the branches fell onto my garden, and no one apologized.  Even though some of the supports were broken.  There are a lot of holes and ruts in the yard now.  They told my husband that he would bring dirt, and fill them, and put down grass seed.
The other day, I heard my water go on outside.  It was the forman sprinkling seeds into the holes and ruts.  I went and asked "what happened to the dirt?  I was told you would fill this in".  He said that he didn't think that it looked "that bad".
I called the office manager.  Whoever answered the phone was screening her calls for her.  First I was on hold, then she said to just     leave a message.  It's been a week with no returned phone call.  A reputable company would apologize, and send a guy with a couple of bags of dirt over.

The company did remove the tree and the stumps but never removed the roots. I had two issues with this company. First, on he estimate it was agreed when this service would be completed. The company wanted me to wait until my neighbor had his tree removed so they could schedule both jobs on the same day. I was not willing to wait to have my tree removed because my neighbor had to wait for Edison to move over the electrical power line. When I called the office to complain about not wanting to wait any longer, the secretary became very rude and unprofessional. The company did eventually come out to remove the tree at the time agreed only after I asked to have my down payment returned. Secondly, after the job was completed while I was at work, I noticed they did not remove the roots as promised. So I called the office to complain that the service was not completed because numerous amounts of roots were still present. Once again, the secretary became very rude with me. The end result is they never came back out to remove the tree roots. Lastly, the day before the company was planning to cut down part of my neighbors tree  limbs, I called them to inform them I just had a cement porch poured 3 days ago and told them to be very careful not to drop any branches onto my new colored cement porch. Once again, the secretary became very loud and unprofessional, so I told her I will have a video camera over looking my porch. After that discussion they ended up returning my neighbors down payment because they were going to be video taped so they refused to do the job.

DON'T BOTHER CALLING THEM, IF THEY OFFER THEIR SERVICES, REFUSE OR IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE, IN MY OPINION.
