Absolutely terrible. Would give them 0 stars if I could. My lawn was perfectly green to start the season and this is what it now looks like it. Their technicians who are supposed to be able to advise on how to treat and problem areas, will tell you to wait for 2 weeks to see results from their treatment and in 2 weeks you won’t have a blade of green left. When you call to ask to cancel and request a refund they will tell you it was your wrong doing and they have no guarantee. The service reports they provide say problems are from too much water and drought… tell me how that works!? Their technicians don’t know a thing and their office staff will give you a different diplomatic answer but they won’t work with you when there is a problem. There are lots of companies who provide this service. Just don’t use this one!

Sean and Custom lawn care did an outstanding job and the price was also outstanding! When we were originally contacted regarding our custom quote he was informative and kind! I so appreciate his patience and kindness when explaining everything to us! I was recommended by my sister and her husband, who have a gorgeous lawn thanks to Custom Lawn Care… I can’t wait to have the same!

Finally cancelled my service. Paid for ahead in advance and asked they let me know when they were coming out or cancelling a day. When they were taking my money they made promises that they would keep me informed. Three times in a row now, they failed to show up when promised but they failed to let me know they postponed my service day by over a week. Their excuse was they postpone service for bad weather days but we had three days of mid 70s and sunny skies. After not showing up or communicating for three days the young lady on the phone said my service date was postponed from Monday, July 1st to Tuesday, July 9th. I explained that I was promised they would keep me informed if they changed the service date. She had several excuses for their drivers having so many customers in a day that they just cannot get to them all. And, they have thousands of customers that they cannot possibly keep everyone informed when their service dates change. After she keep interrupting me and tried and refused to listen I cancelled my service contract with them. They are more than accompanying when they are taking my money but their costumer service is terrible when you call to ask when you are going to get what you paid for.

I've been using Custom Lawn Care for several years. They've always been very professional, courteous and treat me like family. I will continue to use them in the future. However, the real reason for me commenting today is because of their technician Greg Hughes. I recently had a tree come down in my back yard and it did a lot of damage to my lawn. Greg went way out of his way to make sure I understood what needs to be done this Fall and next Spring to make sure my lawn recovers the quickest. I really appreciated the information and education Greg provided. He's definitely a keeper. Well done Greg.

This company raised to its own level of incompetence. 1. My lawn had moss and broad leaf after a full season treatment 2. the following season they provided a service without my my approval or permission then sent a bill. 3. Paul (agent I spoke with) refused to reverse the claim and alleged that this has been their practice for 32 years and many clients complained about this auto renewal process 4. maybe it's time to rethink how you conduct business. 5. whenever you hire a contractor, please consider a company that does business with honesty and integrity before you hire

I prepaid for full service in 2018 and did not sign up for recurring service. I sold my house in December 2018. I then received a bill for a spring lawn application in April 2019. It is now June 2019 and I have called multiple times and they have said it was taken care of. I even have a cancellation email. However I continue to receive phone calls about my due payment for application to a lawn that I do not own and did not sign up for. They advertise a local company. They are awful, do not use them.

We do follow a continuing service policy when working with our customers (similar to that of a cable company), as do ALL lawn care companies in the state of Michigan. This policy is clearly stated on all pages of our website as well as all documents, invoices, and envelopes that are sent to the customer's home. We in no [Member Information Removed] try to hide this policy from any of our customers and make every attempt to make them aware of it. Our continuing service policy is necessary in order to provide the results our customers are looking for when partnering with Custom Lawn Care. Customers can alter or cancel their services at any time, but they are responsible for payment of any services performed until that point. Unfortunately, with over 17,000 customers it is impossible for us to know when a customer is moving without being notified. We are always available to discuss any issues through our Technical Telephone Support at (800) 570-3313."

Their product was pretty good. Their customer service wasn't great. I signed up for one year of service and they continued service for this spring without my knowledge. Immediately after they serviced my lawn I called to inform them that I didn't want the service to continue. I spoke with Beth and she let me know that they would take that spray off of my bill - which was very nice of her. A month later I get a bill in the mail showing that I still owed them for that particular treatment. I called and spoke with Megan from their billing department and she said that they had no record of me contacting them and acted very unprofessional. She couldn't quite grasp that my concern wasn't the previous bills - it was the charge for services that Beth had said she was going to take care of. While I didn't remember Beth's name at the time, Megan was adamant that she (Megan) was the only person I would have talked to. The conversation resulted in Megan hanging up on me. I called back and was elevated to the manager -- Beth -- and she noted that I did in fact talk to her and it was taken off my account. This wasn't reflected on my paper bill that I received from them and I no longer have access to their online portal because I'm no longer a "customer." While I appreciated Beth taking care of this, I still wasn't pleased with the way I was treated by Megan. I still don't have any documentation that I don't owe them for the spring fertilization, but Beth assured me that I don't owe their company an additional bill for that spring fertilization. Fingers crossed that I won't get another bill - Megan will probably hang up on me again if I try to dispute it.

Technician came out and looked over yard. He was able to advise what we need and perform the work for us. Our yard looks so much better. The technician came back each time for the treatments and would check with us to make sure we were happy and everything was going as expected. One treatment, our dog was outside in the backyard. The office called to ask us to put dog inside so they could go in backyard. I wasn't home. The technician offered to go to another customer and return in a few minutes to give me time to retrieve our dog. He did return and the treatment was done. They have gone out of their way to make me happy and to fulfill every request I had with regard to our lawn. Highly recommend!

It's my first year with Custom Lawn Care. The lawn was in rough shape at the beginning of the year, but they've controlled just about every one of my weeds this year and the lawn has thickened up. My technician always gives me tips and tricks on watering and mowing. I trust these guys which is a big thing nowadays.

Very good response to my call to Custom. I decided to call Custom after I was not happy with another company. I spoke with Tom on the phone, and within two days, a technician fertilized my lawn, and e-mailed me a detailed invoice.
