"Sean came to clean the carpet. I was so impressed by his working ethics. He is quiet and polite and like other people said, meticulous and responsible about his work!! He worked so hard and the carpet looked so nice afterwards. Even better, the total cost was so reasonable that it surprised me! Another very important point I want to mention is his integrity and honesty. I orginally hired him for both air duct cleaning and carpet cleaning. But after checking the ducts, he said they were still in good shape. So I did not waste money on duct cleaning! This made me respect him more. I have recommended him to my friend who might need air duct cleaning. I am pretty postive he does an outstanding job on air duct cleaning as well. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody who needs carpet cleaning or air duct cleaning. I would definitely use him again in the future."

Small jobs welcome

"Heather did a deep clean on our vacation home that hadn?t been done in about 6 months so there was a lot to do. She went above and beyond our expectations and I couldn?t have asked for a better cleaner to come do all of our home cleaning needs as well as yard work. I recommend here to anyone that needs their home taken care of. Very professional as well and follows directions in detail."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

While it may be possible to use a carpet cleaner on a couch, it is often not recommended and requires significant caution. Some carpet cleaners contain harsh or abrasive chemicals that are unsuitable for soft upholstery fabrics. To determine if it's safe, always check your couch's care tag, which dictates approved cleaning methods. If you decide to proceed, ensure the carpet cleaner has an upholstery attachment and that you are using a cleaning solution specifically designed for upholstery. It is also crucial to avoid oversaturating the fabric. Before cleaning the entire couch, always test the cleaner on a small, hidden area to check for potential damage or discoloration.

Yes, some carpet stains can be permanent. Stains that have been sitting for a long time (weeks, months, or years) are much harder to remove because they have had time to dry and set. Other types that may be permanent include oil-based stains and dye stains. While some cleaners can help, they can also risk dyeing or permanently changing the carpet's color. If you have an old stain and are unsure of the cause, it's best to call a carpet cleaning professional. If DIY methods and professional cleaning fail, you may need to replace that section of carpet or learn to live with the stain.

You’ve stored your coats away all summer long, but now that the temperatures drop, you notice they smell weird as you pull them from storage. What’s the deal? If your clothes smell weird after you stored them, they may have been in a moist, dark environment for several weeks or months. This environment is ideal for mildew growth, which can make clothes smell musty.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Your schedule for deep cleaning will depend on how often you clean regularly and how dirty your home gets. If you clean weekly and keep things tidy, you may only need to deep clean once a year. But if you don’t keep up with regular cleaning or have pets that drag in mud and shed all over the house, you might need deep cleaning two or three times a year.
