Yes, it’s possible to overdo it with carpet shampoo. This common carpet cleaning mistake occurs when you apply too much cleaning solution. Your carpet’s drying time depends on the cleaning method used. You can expect it to take 6 to 10 hours for your carpet to completely dry. However, it could take up to a full day if you use a steam-cleaning method or if your home has a high humidity level.
