"Absolutely Terrible and Lawn is dying with their services! We have been using them for 10 years. This year their applied services have ruined our lawn. Bloomfield manager came out finally and said,”Yep your lawn is needed up!” And the did it! Used to have best lawn in the neighborhood with sod and no weeds! Not anymore and the same services were performed by TrueGreen as previous years! We are going to post signs in our yard saying “Work performed by TrueGreen”!!! Absolutely the worst lawn killing service!!"

Alpine took our storm-wrecked jungle and turned it into a fully cut, trimmed, root balls removed, wood chipped or burned or removed, and smoothed and grass-seeded landscape, all within a couple short weeks of our devastating storm. Malcolm also went above and beyond in doing extras that were not part of his bid, but which were very helpful to us, and he did not increase his price. I can’t say enough good things about Alpine Tree Service, and how fortunate I and my neighbors feel to have hired Alpine."

It’s not as common for Dutch elm disease to affect other types of trees, especially if the surrounding trees aren’t elms. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. With some trees, like apple, sweet cherry, or pear trees, you’ll want at least a couple of trees on your property for the plants to produce fruit. But peach trees are one type of fruit tree that is self-pollinating, meaning you can plant just one tree and still reap the sweet rewards.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.
