"McFadden Stump & Tree Removal were prompt, professional, and thorough. Although I had only scheduled a quote on the tree the young man who showed up had just come from a stump grinding job in Alpena and made me a good offer to grind four stumps in my yard. "Troy came out same day when a tree fell on my clients home. He met me on site and got right to work. No hesitation. Barely even talked price. He wanted that tree off of my clients home so it could be tarped right away before we talked further. He put the client first. Then after we talked pricing (super competitive and well worth what they charge) he got right to work and didnt stop until completion. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

Unfortunately, if you cut the top off a palm tree, it will die. Instead of budding or branching out, the top begins to slowly rot. That's why having a professional tree trimming at least twice a year is a good idea. If you don’t have experience with trimming your palm tree, you might accidentally cut the top off, leaving a dead and rotting tree in your wake.
