"Absolutely Terrible and Lawn is dying with their services! We have been using them for 10 years. This year their applied services have ruined our lawn. Bloomfield manager came out finally and said,”Yep your lawn is needed up!” And the did it! Used to have best lawn in the neighborhood with sod and no weeds! Not anymore and the same services were performed by TrueGreen as previous years! We are going to post signs in our yard saying “Work performed by TrueGreen”!!! Absolutely the worst lawn killing service!!"

"Hired to bring in top soil and plant grass. Worst job I have ever seen, grass did not grow, top soil was more like “top sand”. I would not recommend this business for anything other than mowing and leaf pickup. We have hired them for other projects around our property and the result is the same each time. Would love to support local business however we also want quality work. I hate writing this, but there is an old saying “Caveat emptor” (let the buyer beware). Was charged for over 20 yards of top soil, received maybe 5-10."

It’s not as common for Dutch elm disease to affect other types of trees, especially if the surrounding trees aren’t elms. No. Topping a tree refers to severely cutting down all its major branches and tree in a straight line. It was once recommended for streetside deciduous trees but has fallen out of practice. Topping leads to many problems, removing so much of the tree that many trees struggle to survive and become much more vulnerable to insects and diseases. Also, it doesn’t really help tree growth as once assumed and often leads to an ugly appearance of many sprouting stems in competition to become new main branches.

Aim to have your trees inspected and pruned in early spring. At this point in the year, tree service professionals can note where there is old growth from winter and cut that back to encourage new growth for the rest of the year. Pruning at the wrong time of the year could make your trees prone to diseases.

While this method may seem extended, it significantly speeds up the natural stump decomposition process, which can take up to seven years. If you’d like to DIY remove a tree stump and it’s not causing any immediate harm or danger, using Epsom salt to kill it slowly is a viable removal option.
