"Brawny Builders was great on all accounts. They helped with the design of our project which included a new front entrance, large rear deck, a couple sections of fence and an outdoor shower. They had a competitive quote and we’re able to start quickly. Their crew was hard working, very courteous and customer focused. Rob met with us and listened to what we wanted to do.  He presented us with a detailed proposal at a fair price.  He followed the proposal document carefully throughout the project and helped us focus on what we had agreed to do.  Both Rob and Tom were very professional and courteous.  They were respectful of our home and were a pleasure to be around.  By the end of the project they felt like part of the family!
Our bathroom was very ugly and outdated.  They removed the old cabinets, repaired the plaster, painted, installed new cabinets, tub surround and toilet.  It looks beautiful now!
In our kitchen they removed wallpaper, repaired plaster, painted walls and ceiling and removed our existing flooring.  We found unexpected hardwood underneath so we hired The Sandman to refinish our floors because the damage was more extensive than Rob could repair.
Our stairwell was covered with stucco.  They removed it, repaired the walls, including a large hole in the plaster and then painted.  It looks great.
We will definitely hire them again!

"Overall my project was a success! Off the Grid crew got this job finished within a few days. They were out there there from the time the sun rose to the time it set, and made sure to keep me updated with what got finished. At the end of the task, what made a difference in my experience was being asked if I was satisfied with the job. Many companies do jobs for the money, the difference in Off the Grid Construction is that THEY care and make sure their customers are completely satisfied before moving on to their next task. My experience with this company was excellent, kindness and caring people come a long way!"

"It went very well, from the estimate to completion. Greg was clear, honest and direct and he cares about his customers being satisfied. The workmen arrived  on the date agreed upon, were generally neat and clean and careful about my  house. It was a big, messy job and they cleaned up well. There were a few details to finish and Greg came personally to complete the little things. For example, during the clean out and other work, a t.v. cable was pulled loose and fell between the walls.   Greg came back to fix it. He made sure I was  happy with the job. I can already notice a difference from the pebble/dirt crawlspace and the new one with the liner. I notice less dampness in the family room, and there is no more smell, even on days it is raining. I trust it will be significantly warmer in the winter.

"It started as an Angie's List Big Deal.  A room design by Jill Seidner for $189.00.  The room was the large living/dining room in my condo.  Jill asked for room measurements, pictures and a description of what I wanted to accomplish. I emailed the requested information and Jill returned four suggested room layouts.  I was pleasantly surprised to find, in two of the layouts, she had switched the living and dining areas giving a totally different feel to the room.  I chose one of these two as my first choice.  Jill returned with concepts  for furniture styles, carpet  and wall accessory  ideas along with links to retailers that carried the suggested merchandise.  I am now free to implement the plan on my schedule and budget.  The process started on July 22 and ended on August 21, 2011.  The idea of doing room design through email is new to me and worked well.  I do not know what Jill Seidner usually charges for this service but the layout ideas themselves were worth the price."
