"Our sales person Spencer was Amazing, he went out of his way to explain everything, The person who called to set up installation was rude and lied to us we were getting a 12 foot slider installed and we asked if we could have Champion installers install it he said they do not have their own installers they only have sub contractors so when I said I know who not to buy my windows through he said that's up to you so I called Spencer and he said that is not true they do have in house installers and he would get back to me..so Gabe and Tyler show up to install our door and I have to tell you those two boys did a Amazing job, The door was too small but they found a way and made sure we were happy with everything they did and when we get windows we will request them to install them and I suggest anyone reading this to also request Gabe and Tyler they are great at what they do."

"It was a steady process. Of course there were hiccups along the way, but with Renaissance & myself working as a TEAM on this project, everything was done & done well. I do believe that is KEY on any project, especially one of this size. I told Jamie at the beginning of the project that communication was VERY important to me. Jamie was quick to address any questions or concerns I had. He picked up my calls every time. I will hire Renaissance Restoration for all home improvements and/or updates."

"I hired JLM Home Solutions to install all my interior doors and closets including frames/casings in my upstairs. Jason was a horrible person the entire time I hired him. He acted like a nice person just to get hired. I regret hiring him. Unfortunately I had signed a contract by the time I found out he was no good. Every time I brought up something that was not done right, he’d yell and raise his voice at me. He’s very rude and unprofessional with the worst customer service. He was rude on text, rude on phone and rude in person. Jared, I guess one of his employees was a great person, very polite and did an amazing job. He worked on the project in a professional manner. He didn’t come back though to finish the project because Jason sent another person instead, David, who did an awful job. Jason didn’t want to hear it that David’s work was not the greatest. I had to put a stop payment after I found out one of the closet doors wasn’t installed right and other things that were wrong. Jason got so upset that he had to come back to fix the problem after I told him I didn’t want David. Jason came to my house but failed to fix the problem still. Instead he made me feel threatened in my own house. He was all in my face yelling at me saying nothing was wrong with the closet. Even my little dog was scared. I had to call my daughter and son to come over because I was so terrified that he was maybe going to hurt me. I stayed on the phone all the time while he was there so someone could hear his abusive behavior. That day after Jason left, I had to get a second opinion on the closet. Another contractor couldn’t believe the way the closet was installed and for Jason to insist it was okay. He left the old frame on and didn’t want to here when I mentioned it. I’ll have this closet removed and a new one with new frame installed the right way. I had to insist Jason deduct some money for that closet from the balance owed to him. A couple of days later, I noticed my kitchen door they installed still had cracks on the inside frame close to the lock. I had mentioned that to him. I texted him to let him know with pictures showing the cracks. Now Jason won’t respond to my text, email or phone. I asked him to send one of his guys to fix the door. Not him because I don’t want him around me. I’ve tried everything to get to him. I know he’s ignoring me. I paid him so much money for this project. If I don’t hear from him I’ll have no choice but to file small claims. He cannot leave my door like that after I paid him so much money and thinks he can just get away with it. If there was an option of zero stars, that’s what I’d have given JLM."

"I am very pleased with the results. The carpentry work by Yuji and Seth replacing the corbels/fascia/soffits was outstanding. They are skilled craftsmen (in addition to being very pleasant people) and the work was flawless! Before the existing pieces were rotted and made the place look neglected and now they have transformed it so it looks beautiful. Larry and his crew removed the old dilapidated roof and erected posts for a railing system, and fit the EPDM rubber roofing around them. I think the edges were particularly well done. The installed railings and made them fit and attached them solidly to the house such that I'm confident it will pass City inspection. The roof and railings look as they should and a good job was done, though it became a little protracted due to some delays. Finally, the gutter and downspout was installed and it was expertly done. I am so happy that the installer was able to fashion a downspout in a special custom way that didn't obstruct a passageway as I had thought would be necessary. It looks great and does the job to avoid damage due to leakage in my home as occurred without the gutter. After each step of the project, there was thorough clean-up. Steve Kinne, the sales representative, was amazingly diligent, patiently revising the quotes as necessary along the way when there were changes of plans. Plus, he couldn't be a nicer fellow and made arrangements for the cost to be discounted when it turned out that the corbels were not the rafter tails we had supposed they were, which was much appreciated. The total job came in at a little over $16,000 and I wouldn't have undertaken the project with Elieff if I wasn't absolutely convinced that there would be quality work, which I believed after Elieff did a perfect job on my main roof last year. I am a very satisfied customer and recommend the company highly!"

"The Empowerment Church had a complete Duro-Last Membrane Roof installed late last year and of course we had an unusual weather this winter. I discovered a leak yesterday and called Kyle to notify him of a possible leak. Kyle responded immediately and had Dave and crew come down the next day, Dave found the source of the leak, and repaired it with additional recommendations of what was needed. "HWC - Home Works Corporation Wyoming, MI has been a total nightmare. We paid a $3000 deposit and paid them over $6000 to install a tub and tub surround in our bathroom. The caulk job(s) last only six seeks before it cracks and shrinks and it had to be redone several times and they will NOT cover it under the guarantee / warranty. We were charged $900.00 for the HWC installers to take the ceramic tile and plaster lat down to the bare studs, but they only partially and did it and didn’t do it all the way. They were supposed to use water resistant drywall from the tub to the ceiling and side to side, but used plywood instead and for only three feet from the tub up the wall and not the entire wall as they show in a training video they provided to us. They glued the plastic panels directly to the ceramic tile and we now have bubble lines across the entire back wall and side to side every twelve inches apart. We now have two different surfaces both plywood and ceramic tile behind the plastic paneling they installed. On the day the project was finished, three bikers showed to collect the remaining monies owed to HWC as the glue and caulk was not dried or had was set. HWC refuses to warranty and guarantee their work. Several attempts have been made to contact them and have them to come back out to see and correct the poor work performance, but HWC refuses to do so. The two owners have tried to intimate us and have threatened us via emails, that if we Google review HWC or report them to the “BBB” Better Business Bureau or take legal actions against them for the poor work that they have done. They fail to take responsibility and correct quality issues and the substandard performance of their installers. We have hired several good contractors over the past two years and with good and satisfying results. HWC has NOT been a good or reliable company to do business with and I encourage everyone to look elsewhere or prepare yourself for disappointment if you hire HWC. I advise you to avoid HWC like the plague. It is my recommendation that if you want good quality windows call 1-800-HANSONS. If you want a good quality roof call Above Roofing. If you are looking for other good quality contractors call Service Professor. Not HWC!"
