Owner does not stand behind his work. 14k to rebuild a chimney and after 2 seasons the mortar is failing and bricks are chipping and now claims he “isn’t in a financial position to work for free”. When asked if he expects his work to last longer than 2 seasons he claimed that he expects it to but sometimes it doesn’t and that the contract explicitly states no warranty. It does indeed say that, but he also said numerous times during the 2 week long project that he “stands behind his work”. He does not. At all. Don’t get taken by this unscrupulous contractor. BUYER BEWARE!!!"
