"We had raccoons in our attic for about 3 weeks , and you can guess what mess a nesting raccoon can make , we needed to have all the fiberglass batting removed and than new spray foam installed . The 3 guys showed up on time and went right to work, oh , and this was done in late December so even more fun , the two young men that removed the old insulation were very efficient , bag after bag came down , about 45-50 in all , and then the foam guy went up and did his thing our is much quieter and warmer also could not be happier and will use again if the need ever arises , it did cost more for the foam but well worth it"

"I am very pleased with my new windows. I used Home Genius Exteriors to do my roof, gutter protection, and now Windows. This is an absolute amazing company, my salesman brendan was very helpful, Devan the Project Manager helped make sure everything went smoothly. Walter and Mike also from production were very friendly and professional. And Shawn, the window installer was polite, knowlagable, and efficient. And even cleaned up on his way out. Next on the agenda is to get a new door taken care of. Highly recommend HGE"

"This is a family run business that was a pleasure to work with, they did exactly what they said they would do. Kaleb & Heather weâ re great to work with on my insulation project, Heather kept me up to date and returned my phone calls promptly. They masked things off and cleaned up when they were done. I would recommend them to anyone who is considering spray foam insulation."

"Brad, the salesman came out and gave an estimate to spray foam insulation under entire cottage.  Unfortunately, i was not there when he came, so he didn't have complete access to the crawl space.  The original estimate was around $2700 to spray the entire space.  We scheduled a time/day.  The service techs came that day, but many hours later than I was told by the salesman (not their doing).  However, when they did arrive, they were extremely professional, efficient and polite! They were definitely experts and highly trained.  I encountered some issues with "access" to certian areas under the house.  They did what they could, explained and showed me the situation.  Since they were unable to spray all quoted areas, about 560 sq ft., I was given a refund on that portion ( about $1000). The guys were great to work with, very honest and qualified.   I will use them again.  I feel the price was good - another company quoted $1200 more.

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, proper insulation in your attic or ceiling can help prevent ice dams. When attic spaces are too warm, they cause the snow on the roof over those areas to melt more quickly than the rest of the roof and then travel downward to a colder section of the roof where they refreeze. If less heat is allowed to escape from underneath the roof, snow will melt at a more consistent rate, making ice dams less likely.

Monolithic slabs don’t require insulation, but many homeowners choose to have their contractors install insulation under the slab during construction. This can help improve home efficiency even more and keep indoor temperatures more stable. Slab foundations are more energy-efficient than uninsulated crawl spaces and basements, and insulated slab foundations are more energy-efficient than insulated crawl spaces and basements.

Without a doubt, insulating a garage door is a surefire way to make your home more energy efficient. Not only does insulating your garage door reduce your electric bills, but it also helps protect your valuables inside your garage, all while making for a quieter interior space.

In regions that drop below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, your car's battery is at risk of malfunctioning in a garage that drops dangerously low. So, homeowners who reside in extremely cold climates can especially benefit from insulating their garages.

Yes, exposure to fiberglass insulation can cause harm to your skin and eyes. However, this typically refers to the fiberglass insulation that is mostly used in walls and attics. Fiberglass doors don’t pose risks for fiberglass exposure because they're fully encased in polymer cladding.

Once installed, injection insulation requires little maintenance, but periodic inspections for air leaks or moisture buildup are recommended.
