"I used them two years in a row and I will use them again here this summer. They have removed quite a bit of trees for me, some of which lay over the house. I was very concerned of damage to my home and property. The way they cut the tree down, the way they removed the limbs and carefully laid them on the ground. It was breath taking, he has such a professionalism to him and is so careful of the work he does; it was a process well thought out. Everything went perfect, I will not have anyone do this work, he is the only one. They even cleaned up the area very well, he raked up all the debris, the yard was immaculate when they left. Generally, you’ll want to prune back the trunk by 1 to 2 feet each year to promote bushy growth. Doing so concentrates vegetative buds closer to the bottom of the tree, where you can easily harvest fruit. For side shoots that are a year old, leave at least six leaves. 

Never remove more than 30% of a tree’s foliage during pruning—even if your tree is really overgrown. Removing this much foliage at a time could kill your tree.
