"I am so incredibly happy with the great job Robbie and his crew did to take down a few trees that partially fell at my cottage after a huge wind storm. The trees were in a precarious position dangerously close to the house. Robbie explained everything & how they would take them down. He kept me updated throughout the day. After the trees were down they hauled the trees & the debris back with them. I would recommend M&M to anyone needing trees cut down. Great Job guys!"

"Andy came personally to give us an estimate.  He was on time, personable and professional.  The date was set for the following week.  Crew arrived ON TIME - they worked safely and quickly.  All the work was completed as promised.  The cleanup from taking down the trees was amazing.  I highly recommend their services!"

"I used them two years in a row and I will use them again here this summer. They have removed quite a bit of trees for me, some of which lay over the house. I was very concerned of damage to my home and property. The way they cut the tree down, the way they removed the limbs and carefully laid them on the ground. It was breath taking, he has such a professionalism to him and is so careful of the work he does; it was a process well thought out. Everything went perfect, I will not have anyone do this work, he is the only one. They even cleaned up the area very well, he raked up all the debris, the yard was immaculate when they left. They earned the great rating, they went above and beyond, it was a job well done. He has over 30 years experience and it shows in his work. You can rest assure you will receive great service."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

A serrated knife will work for cutting off small palm tree fronds, about 1 inch in diameter. For larger fronds, you will need pruning shears. You may also use a pruning saw, and if your palm tree is especially tall, an extended pole saw can help you reach the brown fronds around the trunk.

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.

Since each tree is different, it’s impossible to say how long a dead tree can remain on your property. While it could be days, months, or even years, it’s highly likely that, at some point, the tree will fall. In the meantime, dying or dead trees can become a haven for pests, so it’s best to have them removed sooner rather than later.

The typical lifespan of a Bradford pear is relatively short, only 15 to 25 years. However, these trees have issues long before their life is over. Due to their soft wood and fast-growing branches, Bradford pear trees often split around 15 years, making them a risk for falling branches and more prone to disease.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.
