Inspectors can also receive certifications in specialized areas. These can include structural specialties, like chimneys, swimming pools, or septic systems, as well as specific issues like mold, pests, or radon gas. An inspection to look for damper handles is the best way to know if your house has dampers in the ducts. Not all homes have them, as some home builders may try to save money on the construction by leaving dampers out of the ducts. Odors should be taken seriously when accompanied by headaches, nausea, or lightheadedness. If you smell an egg-like aroma, this is probably natural gas. You should leave the home immediately, and  contact your gas company.
