"This is our 8th house obviously we have dealt with numerous professional servicemen over the years. For estimates on these current jobs I had to go to electrician, plumber, painter, drywall men and a general contractor, Not discussing the estimates we were give (outrageous) but each call was a minimum of $125 just to open the front door from each. The standard line was. "Well you have to understand this is the busy time". BS! After looking on Angies list we tried AL Hoppe, Handyman. The ad should read "Handyman Extraordinaire!" After one call Al came to the house. NO COST for the estimate. He was able to make all repairs, some very involved. And stayed within the original estimate. We were very impressed with his knowledge and understandable explanations. He worked for several days and we hardly knew he was here. I from upper New England and am always skeptical. No need with Al. He was truly amazing. There are a few more minor things for Al in this house before we move shortly to a smaller old house. I have already discussed several more projects there and a complete redo of a deck. We cannot recommend Al high enough. Several of my neighbors have contacted him as well for various projects. Up to and including a new deck, and a serious drainage problem. All Hoppe is the BEST!! Take it from a crotchety old timer. Wish I knew about him years ago!!"

"I contacted All Aspects Painting after my original contractor was injured and couldn't complete the work.   John came out and quoted me a price with drywall repair and painting that was less than the first contractor's price for just drywall.   I should've just gone with All Aspects first!   They worked my small job into their busy schedule and made the affected area of my ceiling look just like new.  The communication about the timeline and work was also top notch.   I would definitely recommend them for any drywall or painting work.

"Zefs Construction team has been working on my three properties for the last two years. They did tremendous jobs. The owner Zef is a respectful person. He is the highly trustable and professional. I am an out-of-state investor and I put my full trust in him. He and his team did extensive renovation work on my two dilapidated properties and all got building inspections passed, especially one property at Warren. The city inspectors were very picky and they issued the lengthy reports including zoning/building/mechanical/plumbing/electrical. Zef took care of the property beautifully. Now, the properties are renting out so that I'm receiving my investment's return. Zefs Construction is my go-to contractor to do different home renovation works and home repair as well. Zefs Construction also works closely with my agent and property manager and even my tenants to get work done quickly. I am very grateful to have Zef on my properties' renovation jobs. He is the best person I have ever met from the Angie's List!"

"I have chosen to contract with Gary a few times before. He created a large walk-in closet space basically out of nothing and did a stellar job with that, which is why I felt comfortable working with him on this. Gary was able to discuss our basic plan over the phone a few days prior to working, understanding the layout I would like. On day of, he and I went to seek the supplies needed, which helped to do it together. In that, he was informative without pushing an agenda, After providing the supplies, he and his assistant began their work and I went on to mine. I came back and they were still hard at work, and within the one day, they completed the job (which in previous experience with other contractors would have stretched out to three days). The final product was awesome, a model of professional and artistic craftsmanship, the quality akin to the "west coast" closets one aspires to. Gary is efficient and thorough and his work has clean lines and finish. The final result is cleaned up well, vacuumed out and I was already hanging up my clothes by the time he walked out the door. Gary's price is VERY reasonable and accommodating, and quality superb."

"The main reason they didn't get the bid was all the subsequent contractors had found additional problems with the roof that the SureGuard rep did not.  Again, I was expecting a thorough inspection and as accurate as can be expected proposal.  What I found, with the five roofing contractors I had submit a bid that it was virtually impossible to get "apples to apples" comparisons of product quality, contractor professionalism and scope of work".  Sure Guard was the lowest bidder of all bids.  I was concerned that when all was said and done the quality of the materials or workmanship would be reduced due to the cost being significantly lower (thousands) than all the other contractors for the same proposed work."
