"The painting job went very well. Alejandro contacted us within a day of our request for estimates, came within a reasonable time to look at the job and quickly provided an estimate. He made good observations and asked good questions during his visit, told us what to expect and how he would address problems. He was punctual and communicated well throughout the week it took to complete the work and was consistently meticulous with prep and painting. He carefully moved and covered all furnishings and cleaned up after each day’s work. He is pleasant to work with and responsive to questions or suggestions. All around, a job well done that transformed our home!"

Small jobs welcome

"Doni actually painted our shed in the backyard. He arrived on time , was professional, and continued to work throughout the day. He didn't take any breaks as he felt he could finish in time to have a late lunch. He put 2 coats of paint on the shed. and filled in any areas that needed extra caulk. We are thrilled with the results; hope it will last a few years more. We would hire him again when we want the interior of the house painted. The price was fair and worth every dollar. We were impressed with his work ethic, desire to get the job done, and to please us."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Yes, many professionals use non-toxic removers and dust-free sanding techniques.

While the above methods will help you remove paint from tiles, you may need to take a different approach to get rid of grout haze. If you’ve recently applied the grout, you may be able to wipe it off with a wet cloth. Otherwise, you can try removing it with a rubber grout float, spraying it with a mixture of four parts water to one part vinegar, or using a store-bought grout haze remover.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.

Soot can be harder to remove compared to other types of stains given its acidic nature. It can also cause underlying paint to peel off during the cleaning process. If your soot issue is a result of smoke damage, it’s recommended you call a pro to help remove it versus doing it yourself.

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.
