Just stepping into the business world, taking on small jobs around the house. I'm a very hard detailed worker. I pride in doing a great job and making the customer happy .. I'm looking for smaller sized yard work. Leaf jobs, mowing, trimming small trees , bushes, and shrubs. I can help plant, weed gardens. I do have over 5 years construction experience. I'm also looking for small handyman jobs. Painting, drywall patches to small drywall projects. Trim work, too small framework I'm also knowledgeable in siding and roofing if there was a smaller job needed done. No job too small !! Also have a few years of auto repair. Brake jobs , oil changes , small repairs.

Every lawn is different, but mowing at least once a week is a good goal to stick to. If you’re seeing a lot of rain, or if you’re fertilizing your grass, you may need to mow as often as every four days. Either way, always follow the one-third rule: Never mow more than one-third of your grass height at once, as this can weaken it and prevent it from taking in all the proper nutrients from the soil.

When spring arrives, it’s best to hold off on mowing until temperatures have consistently reached a temperature of at least 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Attempting to mow grass that hasn't fully thawed from its winter dormancy can harm the delicate blades. Ensure your grass is dry before mowing and aim to mow when the grass is about three to four inches tall, trimming no more than one-third of the grass blade's height at a time. This timing encourages healthy growth and prevents shock to the grass, preparing your lawn for a happy, healthy growing season.

Always do a poop sweep before mowing your lawn. Running your mower over dog waste can be messy, unsanitary, and smelly, and it can spread the poop to other parts of your lawn. Plus, you won’t be able to get it out of the grass (or the mower blades) easily.

Any amount of wetness is too much to mow grass, including morning dew. When you mow wet grass, you’re more likely to damage your grass blades and your mower. Fungal diseases are more likely to grow and spread, and you could tear your blades instead of cutting them crisply, leading to brown tips. It’s best to wait until your grass is dry to mow and keep up with lawn mower maintenance.

If you have a manageably-sized lawn and the ground is relatively even and free of debris, a reel mower can be very effective. That’s because reel mowers provide a cleaner, more precise cut compared to power rotary mowers. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to stay on top of your lawn maintenance: Reel mowers can’t handle grass that’s grown too tall or dense.
