"The crew did a good job on the concrete leveling and a good price. All other quotes were at least double. They work well with scheduling. They clean up and cover up holes fairly well and give good advice on how to seal from future water damage."

"I had a number of water management services to be done; basement waterproofing, garage gutters, and cement slab raising. They are one the local companies that do it all! Each one of their teams were very professional and respectful of my property. They even went above and beyond by taking care of additional issues they noticed while doing the work they were contracted for...at no additional cost. They are definitely a company I would hire again and recommend to others!"

"The man that came to our house was very nice and we felt as though he was not trying to sell us a basement system, but more-so a piece of mind. Also, he explained exactly where everything would be and how it would all work. Thanks, Roger!"

"First, the nightmare driveway: We bought the house new in 2002. In the first couple of years of construction in the sub, the builder had to demolish & replace 50+ driveways due to improper design & prep of the fill. Mine was to be replaced but the builder went toes up prior to replacing my drive. Within 2 years a couple of adjacent slabs had sunk in the middle of the slab noticeably and it only worsened from there. Fast forward to today. The HOA (never again) was on my case to fix the driveway or suffer fines.
As the concrete is 15 years old & spalled from the salt, I looked first at replacement. The single-car drive is not huge but I was still looking at a range of $2700-3500 to rip & replace. Being upside down as many of the houses in the area are, I didn't feel that I could invest that amount so I looked at leveling instead. I received several quotes and selected Lift and Level based on cost & other reviews on AL.
The crew showed up on time (even a bit early) and were onsite about 6 hours. The driveway was so uneven that they pumped 11 yards of fill and even had to leave to 'reload' and return, which they did promptly. There were a couple of areas where the edges opposite of the sunken edge had 'heaved' so severely that I was told that they probably wouldn't become 100% level. Watching the crew work, however, it was clear that they had enough expertise in leveling that even working with this 'tricky' situation, they were able to achieve very good results. No it's not perfect on a couple of the outside edges but the way that they 'split the difference' made it look darn good and virtually eliminated all trip hazards.
The crew was friendly, punctual and professional. At one point another crew even showed up to review the work and offer suggestions on the difficult areas. At all times the crew worked with a very large level, I'm assuming to ensure drainage away from the house.
The work is warranted for 2 years and they were sure to tell me to give them a call if any adjustments become necessary.
Time will tell, but seems like a great job & a good option to replacement when money is an issue.

"Did a great job. Other contractors said patio could not be repaired and needed to be ripped out to put a new patio in. ACE saved me thousands of dollars by lifting and caulking existing patio. They also did a good job of matching the color of the caulk to the stamped concrete color of my patio. Highly recommend these guys."

Small jobs welcome

We are a locally owned and operated company that values honesty and integrity and treats your home as if it were our own. We specialize in using foam to level sunken concrete and eliminate trip hazards! \n\nThe benefits of using foam are that they are significantly less likely to sink again. In addition to first time concrete lifting customers, we do a lot of work where people have previously used mud to level concrete, and it sank back down within a couple of years! When this happens, they call us out to create a permanent fix.

"Very hard working and dedicated team! Removed and re-poured my aging and cracked back yard concrete porch. Very detailed and knowledgeable. Properly re-leveled the surface with gravel prior to pouring. Coordinated with other contractors working on a separate project to make sure job is done right and exceeded my expectations. This team is highly reliable! I strongly recommend if you need help with your home projects!!!"

"Nick did a great job explaining the process. Did a great job with the cleanup. Moved some slabs that had a 2 inch drop that was a major tripping hazard. All my deck yard slabs are now level. Nick even recommended a finishing sand for all my spaces in the cement. I would recommend Nick and his company for anybody with undeveloped cement."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

In Brighton, driveways, front walkways, and garage floors are at the highest risk for needing concrete leveling due to heavy loads and exposure to harsh winters. Patios built on the region's common clay soil are also susceptible. Other problem spots include concrete near large trees or in areas with poor drainage. High-stress surfaces in this climate may require attention every five to seven years.

Helpful?

For concrete leveling in Brighton, polyurethane foam injection is a superior choice because it is waterproof and withstands Michigan's freeze-thaw cycles. While a traditional mudjacking slurry works for large slabs, it is less suitable for the area's heavy clay soil. For minor interior surface corrections, a self-leveling concrete compound is effective. Always select materials that are specifically rated as freeze-resistant for long-term durability.

Helpful?

Brighton homeowners should inspect their concrete in the spring after the snow melts to assess any winter damage or settling from frost heave. Examine surfaces again during dry summer conditions when cracks are most visible. In the fall, seal any new, small cracks to prevent water intrusion and freeze-thaw damage. During winter, note any areas where ice forms, as this indicates persistent drainage problems.

Helpful?

Completing a concrete leveling project in Brighton enhances home safety by removing trip hazards from walkways and driveways, which is critical during icy winters. It also improves drainage to prevent water from pooling and forming dangerous ice patches. Correcting the slope away from your foundation helps prevent basement flooding, a common issue in the area due to clay soil, thereby protecting your property value.

Helpful?

A frequent mistake during concrete leveling in MI is choosing the wrong material, such as using mudjacking in clay-heavy soil where polyurethane is more effective. Homeowners also fail to use freeze-resistant materials suited for our winters. Another critical error is not addressing the root cause, like poor drainage, which leads to the problem reoccurring. Attempting a complex repair without professional equipment is another common oversight.
