Troy continued to follow up and once we were able to budget for the project, he came out and made sure nothing had changed. "Worst workmanship I’ve ever seen. Basement still leaks, the system they installed does not drain water into the sump crock looks like water is now being diverted under the floor. Owner never came out to look at what his employees call a finished job. I was quoted by Dennis $56 a foot in the basement and when I got upstairs it was actually $59, red flag. I was quoted and designed a system and they installed another. Look at pics and you decide if you want to hire these hacks and liars. One other thing the workers mixed the Qiukrete next to my furnace that was running and the whole house was filled with concrete dust."

Cracks, spalling, uneven surfaces, and weather damage often necessitate professional repair or resurfacing.

It’s usually not a big deal if your foundation sinks between 2 and 3 inches into the ground after construction, provided the settlement occurs evenly. These fixes address the underlying problems—insufficient support from the soil and hydrostatic pressure on your foundation walls, respectively—so they can last for many decades, making them “lifetime fixes.” There are other solutions to address these issues that will last for up to a decade, making them temporary. These include slabjacking to raise concrete slabs back into place and dampproofing to reduce the water in the soil that interacts with the concrete foundation.

If your foundation isn’t properly square, there’s a chance that anything you built before detecting the issue may need to be torn down. A major miscalculation could leave some walls of your home unsupported. 

It’s usually not an immediate safety risk to live in a house with foundation problems, but you don’t want to let those problems persist. Most foundation issues don’t lead to a house’s sudden collapse, but they can lead to health issues like mold growth and pest intrusion, as well as problems like uneven floors or rotten beams and joists, which can pose injury risks and be costly to fix.
