"I highly recommend Bladimir Tree Service the work he and his crew provided my family in Lathrup Village. Bladimir responded to my RFQ for multiple tree removals and stump grinding. The quote was provided very timely and was reasonable for the level of work required. One tree was over 60' tall with huge branches, while the other 2 were large overgrown cedar trees. The team showed up punctually and with all their equipment in tow, and after review of the plan, immediately started to work. I did not need to supervise or micro manage, the work was preformed efficiently, safely, and orderly. The cleanup was marvelously done, and grinding was to specification. No complaints, only praise and kudos for this hard working crew. I absolutely would hire Bladimir should I need future tree services."

"We had hired another company last year to do some work in our yard and were left with a mess. Design One was able to fix the mess and make it look better than the other company was going to. From the first time we spoke with the office until we signed a contract with Kurt to have our front flower bed re-worked and a pathway created between our garage and shed, the experience made us feel comfortable and sure that this company would treat us properly. There are two types of arborists: certified and consulting. A certified arborist is licensed and equipped to provide tree pruning, planting, fertilizing, monitoring, transplanting, treatment, and removal services. A consulting arborist specializes in tree appraisals, diagnosing problems and recommending treatments for illnesses. However, they will not provide these services themselves. Most consulting arborists are certified arborists who can refer you to a tree service that can administer the correct treatments.

Dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. They are structurally compromised and prone to branch or trunk failure, which can pose a significant safety risk to people, vehicles, and nearby structures. Dead trees can also harbor pests like termites, which may spread to other trees or your home. If a tree died from a disease, it could spread the illness to healthy trees. Additionally, the dry wood is highly flammable, increasing fire risk.

You should avoid cutting off the top of mature cherry trees. This process is called tree topping, and it’s not recommended for cherry trees—or any trees, for that matter. Tree topping removes between one-third to half of the length of the tree trunk, resulting in structurally unsound, fruitless suckers. The only exception is for saplings. Young pie, sour, and tart cherry trees that are over 30 inches tall in the fall or winter before the tree blooms can benefit from heading cuts.

Stay inside or well away until the storm passes. Don’t go outside to inspect the tree until the weather clears, especially if the tree is on a hill or isolated in a field. Lightning often strikes the same easily-accessed places multiple times, and you could be a new target. If a lightning strike causes a noticeable fire, alert emergency services. When the storm is over, take a closer look to gauge the damage done.
