"Our backyard was pretty much a mud pit when it rained. I called Grow Earth because of the great reviews. I called on a Monday and Manu retuned my call within a day, was out the next day to give us an estimate ( which was amazing) and the sod was installed a couple weeks later. Our yard is absolutely gorgeous now. Our little slice of heaven. The installation crew were friendly and quick plus they answered all my questions In regards to care. Manu called us once a week for 3 weeks to make sure we were watering and then came by to check on the sod a couple weeks later. He said he’d be by in the fall to check how the sod is doing and if need be he would seed the areas that have thinned. That’s what I call service! I would and will highly recommend Grow Earth for any of your landscape needs."

Customers say: True professional

"Have been using New Leaf Landscaping for several years and they do a great job. Besides grasscutting and edging they cleaned out planting beds of weeds and small brush and put in new mulch. After they clean up I can't tell they were here. Definitely recommend to anyone!!"

"service was great and so was the price. contractor who did the work was very pleasant and professional. the only thing is he accidently cut down my baby lilac bush. it was just in the twig stage with about 20 leaves on it so it might have looked like a weed. otherwise, this contractor was fast and clean. would love to have him back. :)"

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Mowing a lawn will, unfortunately, not get rid of clover, and it may even encourage it to flourish. Let your lawn grow to a healthy height of over 3 inches and then set your mower blades no lower than this level. Higher grass will cut out the light that clover loves and discourage it from spreading.

Pulling weeds can spread weed seeds and disturb the soil, leading to seed germination. Pulling weeds can also trigger growth in weeds that reproduce through their root systems—disturbing the roots without fully removing them may cause more weeds to grow from the roots.

Each season’s climate influences approaches needed for effective suppression.

Look for a broadleaf herbicide, one that has been formulated specifically for dandelions and is considered grass-safe.

Landscaping fabric can only help to prevent weed growth in the short term. It's not an ideal long-term solution because dirt will eventually make its way on top of it, causing weeds to sprout. These fabrics can also leave microplastics in the environment for many, many years, so pulling weeds using one of the methods in this guide as soon as you see them is a better long-term prevention strategy.
