"I acquired four estimates for sod Installation. Grow Earth Sod Farm & Installation provided the most reasonable estimate by far! Manu and his employees (most of them have who have worked at Gro Earth for ten years or more which is a clear sign of an incredible company), Daniel, Philip and Jonn were incredible. I received constant updates through the entire process and the guys were extremely efficient, hard working, neat and so kind (Daniel even took the time to answer all of my six year old neighbor’s questions). I would absolutely trust Gro Earth with any of my landscaping needs. They are honest and take the time to explain everything. They are FANTASTIC and I highly recommend Gro Earth!! Triple A rating!!!"

"My husband formerly installed underground irrigation, so was able to diagnose our problem as a faulty valve. But we’re both multiple cancer patients in our 70’s. Mo came out and two hours later, leaks repaired, heads adjusted, and he is going to come back later and give me an estimate to extend my system to water, my bag, flower beds, and possibly install lighting. So pleased."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

The condition and appearance of your yard can affect your home appraisal value. A well-maintained, attractive yard with curb appeal adds to a property’s value, while an overgrown, messy, poorly maintained yard can hurt your home’s appraisal. Even small cosmetic improvements to your yard, like adding mulch, trimming trees, and cleaning out plant beds, can help your appraisal value.

The duration of a lakefront landscaping project is determined by its scope, environmental conditions, and weather impacts. It often takes several weeks to a few months to complete.

If shade is a priority for you, then panting elm trees is a fine choice. A full mature elm tree has enough aesthetic appeal for some folks that it could add value to your home.

That said, never plant elm trees too close to your home, sewer line, or sidewalks, as their roots can damage these, which can lead to costly repairs.

The best place to plant a rose bush is where it will be happiest. Growing roses is difficult if the location varies much from what the plants like. Choose a location that gets at least six hours of direct sunlight during the growing season but not much more than that in hot-climate locations. If such a spot doesn't exist in your yard, consider planting your rose in a movable container to take advantage of portability.

If you are xeriscaping a lawn from scratch, your best bet for preparing the lawn is to work with a xeriscaping specialist in your area. The most common first step to making the transformation, however, will be to remove the turfgrass from your lawn. The subsequent steps will often include amending the soil to support new plants and installing low-drip or drip irrigation systems.
