Customers say: True professional

"Have been using New Leaf Landscaping for several years and they do a great job. Besides grasscutting and edging they cleaned out planting beds of weeds and small brush and put in new mulch. After they clean up I can't tell they were here. Definitely recommend to anyone!!"

Entrepreneur Looking to earn some extra money mowing a few lawns on the side as a part time business.\n\nThank you for this opportunity. You have chosen me to complete your lawn care needs. I will do everything I can to make sure your lawn looks nice and you are always satisfied with my service. \n\nThank you again for choosing me and keep reading below to to answer you basic question on why is the service costing me this amount.\n\nBecause professional lawn care is more than just cutting grass. You're paying for my reliability, commercial equipment, fuel, insurance, experience, and a lawn care company that shows up consistently.\n\n$50 minimum for weekly lawn mowing service.\n\nBiweekly clients actually cost you more money per visit. The grass is taller, the trimming takes longer, and my mower burns more fuel pushing through two weeks of heavy growth. On average biweekly visits are usually priced 25% higher per cut than your standard weekly rate. I charge an average of $50 for a weekly cut, that same yard will be $65 on a biweekly schedule. You are being charged as a premium for harder work.\n\nIf you have read this far please contact me through my company software website and "Not ANGI" PLEASE.\n\nAngi charges me $21 just to send you a request for service. Please keep this in mind when reviewing my quote pricing as I will add to one time service. This will be not be added to agreed weekly, biweekly or more services scheduled.\n\nThank you again for taking time and choosing me to mow your lawn.\n\nHave a blessed day,\n Matt Simons\n Owner Mowingrat-services

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

You should add 1 to 4 inches of mulch, depending on your garden type and needs. Keep in mind that no amount of mulch can completely prevent weeds, but a heavier coverage (closer to 4 inches) can suppress weeds enough that you are only seeing them sprout every few weeks. Finer mulch prevents weeds more effectively than large mulch, so if you’re using mulched leaves or shredded bark, 1 to 2 inches will likely suffice, while 3 to 4 inches is best for larger mulch, like bark chips or straw.

Johnsongrass and crabgrass are invasive weeds that can overtake your lawn. Crabgrass is a low-growing grass most often seen in lawns, flower beds, and vegetable gardens. While you may find Johnsongrass growing in your lawn, it will also grow in pastures, crop fields, and the edge of the road. Johnsongrass is much coarser than crabgrass. If left alone, Johnsongrass can grow up to 8 feet tall.

Yes, vinegar can be an effective way to kill individual dandelion plants to help in the hand-removal process. However, vinegar can also kill turfgrass, so use a targeted spray.

Yes, suggesting companion planting and mulching to minimize new growth.

Yes, if your home is poorly maintained and has weeds and overgrowth, it can affect your home appraisal and lower the value. Home buyers want to see a well-kept home, and if yours lacks curb appeal whether inundated by weeds or not, you could be neglecting the potential for it to reach its full value.
