D & E Landscaping & Grading

D&E Landscaping is fantastic. Eddie and his crews are incredibly hard-working, meticulous, and I’ve always been very satisfied with the end results. I have had Eddie and his team do three projects in the past several years. A sizeable grading project in my backyard to eliminate a standing water and drainage situation, brick paver installation for my front porch/steps and my walkout basement, and finally formal landscaping for my entire property. We recently had a major landscape renovation done by Dand E Landscape which included the removal of two shrub beds constructed of heavy timbers with overgrown trees and shrubs. We decided to replace the timbers with a block retaining wall, and also replace the porch steps and cement walkway with brick pavers. We were thoroughly impressed with how the project was handled, and more than satisfied with the finished product. These are some of the reasons for my positive review:

I emailed the scope of my job to several companies and offered my phone number. Dand E responded quickly, and was the only one to take the time to actually call me. One of the owners came and spent about an hour measuring, asking questions and offering suggestions. He never pushed his services. He apologized for how busy they were, but promised a proposal with two options by the end of the week. He actually called me that Sunday, which showed me he was willing to forfeit his weekend to follow through as promised. He emailed the plans and based on one proposal I gave him the job.

The first day, they sent a couple of guys with a skid loader and did a lot of the demolition of the existing landscape and concrete. The next day, more equipment, more people. I was impressed with the number of trucks and equipment they committed to the job. There was constant coordination of material coming and going. Sand, dirt, gravel, block, pavers, shrubs and finally mulch. Everything came and went as needed and without disruption. Their crew was one of the most impressive groups I’ve seen. Except for one break at lunch, they were nonstop for 11 hours a day. I never once saw any of them idle. More impressive, was that they all knew every task, and exactly what needed to be done next without supervision. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the yard completely.

The owner was there twice a day at least, and he wasn’t above grabbing a shovel. He was there for all of the critical stuff like making sure the foundation for the pavers was right, and that the retaining wall was laid out perfectly. When they finished, he inspected every inch and helped with the final cleanup.

Overall, Dand E Landscape was very professional and a very well managed. I would recommend them without hesitation
